CHANGING COLORS
¢ A native of Leesville, S.C., Scott Price grew up in a family of die-hard Gamecock fans. Price has turned in his garnet and black for all things orange this season and his family will do the same this weekend as he expects a large contingent on hand for the series against South Carolina. ¢ The roots to Columbia run deep as Scott’s father, Rodney, was a punter for the Gamecocks from 1986-89 under head coach Joe Morrison. He earned All-South Independent honors in 1987 after averaging 42.1 yards per kick. ¢ He still holds SC bowl records for the most punting yards (338) and most punts (9), both accomplished in the 1988 Liberty Bowl vs. Indiana.
VOLS VS. CANCER
¢ The Tennessee baseball team will join forces with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to help fight childhood cancer by holding a head-shaving event on April 4 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. ¢ To help support the Vols and their fight against cancer, fans are encouraged to make donations online at Tennesssee.vs-cancer.org. Half of the money raised will be donated to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, while the other half will go to support cancer research nationwide. ¢ The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving kids’ lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. For more information, visit vs-cancer.org.
