 This marks the 56th meeting between the two schools dating back to the 1975-76 season.  Tennessee has won 16 of the last 18 games with Kentucky dating back to the first meeting in the 21st century on Jan. 23, 2000.  The Wildcats’ most recent wins in the series came in Lexington against former/current UT assistant Mickie DeMoss (UK 66-63 on Jan. 26, 2006) and former UT LVBB grad assistant Matthew Mitchell (UK 66-56 on Feb. 19, 2009.)  Entering the game against UK, UT has won 36 consecutive SEC contests. Included are 30 regular season wins and a 6-0 record in the SEC Tournament.
