UT redshirt senior goalkeeper Julie Eckel has been named SEC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season. She was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week on Sept. 15.

Tennessee’s only loss this season was to Auburn on Sept. 20. The Tigers are currently ranked 8th in the nation

She has allowed just five goals and leads the SEC with a 0.42 GAA & .907 save percentage Her seven shutouts on the year give her 30 for her career, good for second in Tennessee history behind only to Vanessa Phillips-Bosshart (32 shutouts from 2002-05)
