 This marks the 21st meeting between the two schools dating back to the 1978-79 season.  Rutgers holds the upper hand on their home floor against the Lady Vols leading the series 3-2.  The last time UT traveled to Piscataway, the Lady Vols trailed 33-13 at the half. The 13 points were the fewest ever scored by the Lady Vols in the opening stanza. Additionally, the 20-point halftime deficit was the largest in school history. Rutgers led by as many as 23-points before UT rallied for the win.
