Looking Back to 2010-11... 12th at NCAAs  Held in Austin, Texas, the 2011 NCAA Championships proved to be a success for the Lady Vols. Current Lady Vols Jenny Connolly, Kelsey Floyd and Lindsay Gendron earned First-Team A-A accolades in individual events and on relays.  The Big Orange had a tally of 148 points at the meet, which was its highest amount of points since 2008 at Ohio State. Lady Vol Place Fourth at SECs  The 2011 SEC Championships were filled with speed and excitement for the Lady Vol swimmers, as UT captured 10 medals in 18 swimming events, including three golds, scoring 466.50 points to notch fourth. Four NCAA automatic qualifying times were registered individually, while both the 200y and 400y medley relay quartets clocked A-cut times. Four UT records were also shattered, including an SEC record in the 400y medley relay.

A Monumental Win  Though Lady Vol head swimming coach Matt Kredich had guided the team to 29 wins prior to the dual meet against Virginia on Jan. 8, Kredich had never defeated a top-10 ranked team in his six years at UT. That all changed when the Orange and White downed the ninth-ranked Cavaliers by a score of 166.5132.5 on Jan. 8, winning 12 of the 16 events. Tennessee had four individuals win multiple events on the day, including Kelsey Floyd, breaking the longest standing UT record in the 200y fly.
