FIRST SERVE WELCOME TO THE BIG DANCE ¢ Making its school record fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, the Tennessee Lady Vol volleyball team travels to Louisville, Ky., to take on Big Ten foe Michigan on Thursday at 5 p.m. ¢ The winner of Thursday’s match will take on the winner of Belmont vs. 10th-seeded and Subregional host Louisville on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET. Belmont (18-16) captured the Ohio Valley Conference tournament crown in its first season in the league by winning three-straight matches at the event to earn the automatic bid. The Cardinals (29-3) were the BIG EAST regular season and tournament champions. ¢ In addition to the opening rounds, the 2012 NCAA Volleyball Final Four and National Championship will be played at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center. The facility, which opened in 2010, is hosting the event for the first time. ¢ Tennessee won 13 of its last 15 matches to conclude the 2012 regular season, finishing with a 22-7 overall record and in third place in the SEC with a 15-5 league mark. ¢ This season marks a program-record fifth-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and the 14th trip in program history.
