TOP-25 MATCHUP WITH UNC No. 16/14 Tennessee plays its second game of the week, as No. 22/RV North Carolina comes to Knoxville for a 1 p.m. tip-off on Sunday at Thompson-Boling Arena. Fox Sports Network will televise the contest, with coverage expanding to Fox Sports Tennessee and Fox Sports Carolinas regionally. Local station MyVLT will simulcast. It will mark the first TV appearance of 2012-13 for the Big Orange. The Lady Vols enter with a 5-1 record, having won their last five games, while the Tar Heels bring a 7-0 mark into the matchup. Youth is a major theme of this meeting, as Tennessee sports only two seniors and a junior in its upperclass, while North Carolina counters with three seniors and no juniors. UT lost all five starters, including three WNBA picks, from last year’s NCAA Elite Eight squad, while UNC saw three starters and two others depart from a 20-11 club that did not make the NCAA Tournament.
