GAME 16 SET-UP #7/9 Tennessee (13-2, 3-0 SEC) hits the road for the first of three consecutive games away from home, journeying to Fayetteville to take on RV/NR Arkansas (10-5, 0-3 SEC) on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT/3 p.m. ET at Bud Walton Arena. This is the 28th meeting between these schools, with UT holding a 25-2 record in the series and a 12-1 mark in Fayetteville. The game will be televised by ESPNU, with Roy Philpott and Brooke Weisbrod on hand to call the action. The contest also can be seen online via WatchESPN. A “Watch Live” link can be found on the Lady Vol Hoops Central page on UTSports.com. Mickey Dearstone’s Lady Vol Network call can be heard on the radio on network stations statewide in Tennessee and via audio stream worldwide on UTSports.com. The Lady Vols enter the contest riding a nine-game winning streak after rolling past #9/8 Texas A&M, 81-58, at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville on Thursday night. UT led by as many as 27 points and shot 52.4% from the field vs. an Aggies squad that had been allowing only 54.9 points per contest and was leading the NCAA in field goal percentage defense at 32.3%. Tennessee has not lost since dropping back-to-back road games at Chattanooga (67-63) on Nov. 26 and #6/9 Texas (72-59) on Nov. 30, without Isabelle Harrison. The Lady Vols have won 10 consecutive contests over SEC opponents, beginning with the Auburn game (W, 93-63) on Feb. 20, 2014. Arkansas, meanwhile, enters on a threegame losing skid, dropping its first three SEC contests, including two on the road, after opening the season at 10-2. The Razorbacks are coming off a 72-57 loss at #14/15 Mississippi State on Thursday night, with UA failing to break 60 points for the third straight league contest. Tennessee and Arkansas have two common foes, with the Razorbacks losing at home to nationally-ranked Rutgers (64-52) and Texas A&M (52-50), and the Lady Vols prevailing over those foes by scores of 55-45 on the road and 81-58 at home, respectively.
