GAME 25 SET-UP  The #8/8 Lady Vols (20-4/9-2 SEC) play the second contest of a three-game home stand on Sunday afternoon, welcoming border rival #18/18 Kentucky (18-6/6-5 SEC) to Thompson-Boling Arena.  The Lady Vols and Wildcats are set to tangle in the annual “Live Pink, Bleed Orange” game at 1:05 p.m. ET in a nationallytelevised contest that is part of ESPN’s women’s basketball showcase for the “Play 4Kay” initiative.  The game will be carried live on ESPN, with Pam Ward and Carolyn Peck calling the action, and it will be streamed live via WatchESPN (the game may be blacked out in some areas).  Tennessee and Kentucky were picked by the coaches and media to finish one-two in the SEC this season, and the Lady Vols currently stand in second, while the Wildcats are in sixth place.  Starting out league play with a 2-2 record following the 74-63, Jan. 12 loss at Vanderbilt, Tennessee has moved to within a game of first place after winning its last six games and taking seven in a row against conference foes.  UT has won its last six contests despite Nancy Lieberman Award candidate Ariel Massengale being sidelined by a facial injury suffered in the first half vs. Florida. Andraya Carter and Jordan Reynolds have guided the team admirably in Massengale’s absence.  The Lady Vols are coming off perhaps their best overall performance of the season, as they dominated #18/19 Vanderbilt in Knoxville on Monday night, 81-53.  Kentucky, which has beaten (then) #4/3 Louisville, #9/9 Baylor and #14/14 LSU this season, has struggled of late, losing three of its last six games.  The Wildcats split their last two games, losing at Florida on Feb. 9, 86-80, and winning impressively at home vs. Ole Miss on Feb. 13, 108-78.  UK (84.5) and UT (80.3) are the highest scoring SEC teams this season in all games.

LIVE PINK, BLEED ORANGE  Tennessee and Kentucky will trade their familiar school colors for a shared hue on Sunday, as the teams participate in the “Live Pink, Bleed Orange” game as part of ESPN’s “Play 4Kay” initiative. Fans of both teams are encouraged to join the cause by wearing pink to the game.
