GAME 21 SET-UP #6/6 Tennessee (17-3, 7-0 SEC) hits the road for a weeknight match-up on Thursday, as the Lady Vols face #10/10 Kentucky (164/5-2) in a 7 p.m. ET contest at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. The meeting is the 61st between the schools and is a rematch of the 2014 SEC Tournament championship game, which UT won, 71-70, in Duluth, Ga. In the #10/10 Wildcats, Tennessee is facing its sixth top-10 opponent this season and its eighth overall game vs. a ranked school. The Lady Vols are 3-2 vs. top-10 teams this season and 5-2 vs. all ranked foes. In road games, the Big Orange women stand 5-3 overall and 3-0 vs. SEC teams. Tennessee will put a league-best 14game winning streak against SEC foes on the line. That spree began vs. Auburn (W, 93-63) in Knoxville on Feb. 20, 2014. UT’s leading-scorer Isabelle Harrison will enter the contest just three points shy of becoming the 39th player in program history to score 1,000 points. The game will be televised by the SEC Network, with Paul Sunderland and Carolyn Peck on hand to call the action. The contest also can be seen online via WatchESPN. A “Watch Live” link can be found on the Lady Vol Hoops Central page on UTSports.com. Mickey Dearstone’s Lady Vol Network call can be heard on the radio on network stations statewide in Tennessee and via audio stream worldwide on UTSports.com. Tennessee won its 16th-straight home game and 14th-consecutive match-up with an SEC foe on Sunday, taking down #22/19 Georgia, 59-51, in Knoxville in front of a season-best crowd of 13,428. With that triumph, UT’s senior class of Cierra Burdick, Isabelle Harrison and Ariel Massengale collected the 100th victory of their careers at Rocky Top. They are 100-26. It was a sophomore who led Tennessee vs. UGA on Sunday, though, as Jordan Reynolds filled the net with a career-high 15 points to set the tone. Kentucky, which has dropped two of its past four games, enters Thursday night’s contest on the heels of an 83-69 victory at Missouri on Sunday. Jennifer O’Neill came off the bench to lead five Wildcats in double figures with 19 points, as UK overcame a barrage of 13 made threes by Mizzou in Columbia. Like Tennessee (12-0), Kentucky is unbeaten on its home floor this season at 10-0, including 3-0 in league play. The Lady Vols will be trying to halt a twogame losing skid in Lexington and win there for the first time since Feb. 7, 2011 (73-67).
