#5/7 Tennessee (15-3, 5-0 SEC) returns home after three games on the road to host #RV/RV LSU (10-8/4-2) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. The match-up is UT's first of two straight games and three of the next four at home. The contest will be UT’s designated home game during the SEC’s “We Back Pat” Week, which runs from Jan. 18-26. This marks the 60th meeting between these schools, with UT holding a 46-13 record in the series, including 19-3 in Knoxville. The game will be televised by the SEC Network, with Cara Capuano and Gail Goestenkors on hand to call the action. The contest also can be seen online via WatchESPN. A “Watch Live” link can be found on the Lady Vol Hoops Central page on UTSports.com. Mickey Dearstone’s Lady Vol Network call can be heard on the radio on network stations statewide in Tennessee and via audio stream worldwide on UTSports.com. The Lady Vols had their 11-game winning streak snapped Monday night, as #6/7 Notre Dame got 34 points from Jewell Loyd to hold off UT, 88-77, at Purcell Pavilion. The Lady Vols, however, will put another couple of streaks on the line vs. the Lady Tigers on Thursday night. Tennessee has been victorious in 14 straight games at Thompson-Boling Arena, including 10 in a row this season. Tennessee also has won a league-best 12 consecutive contests over SEC opponents, beginning vs. Auburn (W, 93-63) in Knoxville on Feb. 20, 2014. LSU, meanwhile, brings a short-butimpressive two-game winning streak into Knoxville. The Lady Tigers built that string by knocking off #15 Mississippi State in double overtime in Starkville on Jan. 15, 71-69, and #10 Kentucky in Baton Rouge, 84-79, on Jan. 18, thanks to back-to-back 24- and 25-point efforts from junior guard Danielle Ballard. LSU, whose record stood at 2-4 on Nov. 25, also challenged #9 Texas A&M before falling 55-48 on Jan. 11 in College Station.
UT’S “WE BACK PAT” GAME SEC member institutions are supporting the Pat Summitt Foundation during their home basketball games taking place Jan.
