STAY UPDATED
GAME TWO SET-UP #4/4 Tennessee hits the road for the first time in 2013-14, playing #12/11 North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Monday night. It marks the first time UT puts a top-four ranking on the line with another ranked team since #3/3 Tennessee defeated #7/7 Miami in a home game, 92-76, on Nov. 15, 2011. No. 4 is the highest Tennessee has been ranked since November of 2011. The contest is part of the ESPN “College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon,” featuring more than 24 hours of consecutive basketball coverage over Nov. 11-12. ESPN2 will televise the UT-UNC matchup, with tipoff set for 9:05 p.m. Eastern time on Monday. Until meeting in Knoxville last season, Tennessee and North Carolina had gone four years without playing. Tennessee is 111-22 all-time vs. teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
THREE GAMES, SEVEN DAYS Monday’s game will mark the first of three contests this week for Tennessee. After facing North Carolina, the Lady Vols play host to Chattanooga on Thursday (7 p.m.) and Georgia Tech on Sunday (7 p.m.). Counting the Middle Tennessee game on Nov. 8, the Lady Vols will have played four games in 10 days by the time the Yellow Jackets roll into Knoxville.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN The Lady Vols open the season with their first two games on the road on Nov. 8 (67-57 win at Middle Tennessee) and Nov. 11 (at North Carolina) before returning home for three in a row at home from Nov. 14-24 (Chattanooga, Georgia Tech and Oakland). Tennessee also opened up the 2012-13 slate with road games vs. an in-state opponent (L, 80-71, at Chattanooga) and ACC foe (W, 71-54, at Georgia Tech.), coming out 1-1 on that road trip. Prior to last season, the last time Tennessee opened a campaign with back-to-back road games (also against an in-state foe and an ACC opponent) was 2004-05. That season, the top-ranked Lady Vols defeated Chattanooga, 68-34, and NC State, 64-54, respectively, on Nov. 19 and 21.

U-TURN IN MURFREESBORO Tennessee found itself headed down a bad road it traveled during last year’s season opener. Fortunately for the Lady Vols, Holly Warlick reset the GPS and executed a U-turn that led to victory rather than a secondstraight opening-game loss. The No. 4/4 Lady Vols, who found them-
