UNIVERSITY OF UTAH MBA ONLINE

It’s about more than just convenience.

“Everything I’ve learned in this program has helped me get to a point that I know I would not have reached if I had not decided to earn my MBA here.”

WHEN DID CONVENIENCE BECOME A VIRTUE?

The University of Utah’s MBA Online program is convenient. Exceptionally so. Classes are available 24/7 from anywhere with an internet connection. There are three semester starts per year. The weekly live webinars with faculty are optional. And you can adjust your course load at any point during the program.

But convenience isn’t actually what drives us to do what we do — nor do we think it’s what should drive you. Earning an MBA should be one of the least convenient things you do during your life. Growth and change are hard, and that’s what a good MBA program should do — push you to grow and change.

So yes, the University of Utah’s MBA Online is convenient and flexible. It’s both work and life compatible. But it’s also so much more than that.

3

FLEXIBILITY WITHOUT SACRIFICING QUALITY

We’re driven by quality above everything else. Our program is internationally accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and recognized year after year for quality by the Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, and other publications.

We deliver the same quality of education as our on-campus programs taught by David Eccles School of Business faculty but with the flexibility of an online format. Our faculty, in-house video production, and instructional design team build each course specifically for the modern-day professional learner. The curriculum is accessible 24/7 on an interactive, mobile-optimized learning platform.

At the end of the program, graduates earn the same MBA degree and diploma as our on-campus students, adding the unique learning benefits online education provides.

4

“You are going to find tremendous faculty commitment to the MBA Online program. Faculty are online as much as you’re online, and if you have a question, you can count on them being highly responsive to you. They’re great teachers that are committed to not only preparing you for today but also preparing you as a professional leader for the future.”

ONLINE LEARNING IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN

The University of Utah’s MBA Online program has taken advantage of the connectivity and flexibility of technology-enabled education to reimagine what an MBA can be. We aim to deliver in-depth business learning through accessible, interactive learning tools. Our philosophy is built on two pillars:

CUTTING-EDGE LEARNING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

• Watch video lectures on a player featuring adjustable speed control and interactive transcripts, allowing you to learn at your own pace and review content at any time.

• Complete assessments and exams from the comfort of work or home with built-in test proctoring technologies.

• Access course content on any device, allowing you to complete coursework anywhere with an internet connection.

• View all assignments, webinars, due dates, and exam dates for the semester and sync them to any major calendar app.

CLASSROOM INTERACTION WITH NO “BACK ROW”

• Attend an immersive three-day oncampus residency during your first fall semester, allowing you to forge invaluable connections.

• Connect with faculty and fellow students in real-time during weekly webinars where attendance is optional, and all session recordings are accessible later on.

• Participate in dynamic discussion boards with thoughtful engagement from all class members.

• Access your network of peers and faculty no matter where life takes you.

6

“Having taken some online classes before, I expected a camera set up in a classroom, and that isn’t at all the case. The University of Utah has taken the time to do it right. Every quality professor at the Eccles School is involved in the program and is there for you and your educational enrichment. You’re getting the full educational experience in an online setting.”

7

LIFE COMPATIBLE AND LIFE CHANGING

Our program can be completed in 24 to 26 months with fall (August), spring (February), and summer (May) start options. The program is six or seven semesters total, with classes held yearround. Students typically take two classes at a time but have the freedom to reduce their course load or take a leave of absence during any semester.

About a third of the program is made up of elective options that allow you to focus on a specific discipline or take classes across various subjects. The path your curriculum takes is up to you, but prepare to be challenged as you expand your problem-solving skills, develop your leadership abilities, and become a highly strategic thinker that creates change in today’s business world.

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE BEST

The University of Utah’s MBA Online program is designed to connect students to three invaluable resources: faculty, peers, and staff.

Our program differs from many others in a unique way. All of our classes are taught by on-campus David Eccles School of Business faculty members. These skilled teachers, innovative researchers, and global thought leaders are transforming business practices worldwide and bring a high level of attentiveness to their online students. But they’re not your only teachers. Your classmates span the globe and bring a wealth of experience in diverse industries and professions, from finance to biotechnology, accounting to education, health care to consulting, and much more. On top of that, our program staff is consistently rated among the best administrators nationally, delivering unmatched levels of support.

That’s part of why we built an on-campus residency into the program. This experience brings you to our campus — nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah — for three days of classes, breakout sessions, and cohort-building activities designed to help you forge deep connections with fellow students, instructors, and staff. Lodging, meals, and classroom materials for residency are all included in program tuition.
