5 Reasons Why We’re Top 20 5 Reasons Why We’re Top 20

Many Executive MBA (EMBA) programs spend a lot of time touting their rankings, but less time is spent explaining why you, as the prospective student, should care. After completing an in-depth survey of business schools and alumni, Financial Times ranked the EMBA program at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business top 20 among U.S. schools

The survey asked students to report their career outcomes, whether their goals were achieved as a result of pursuing an MBA, and asked schools to report numerous statistics about faculty and curriculum. We’re proud of the work we’ve done at the Eccles School, so here are five reasons we’re ranked in the top 20 U.S. EMBA programs:

Learn from the best

Financial Times looks not only at the academic qualifications of our faculty but also at their research productivity. That is, the thought leadership they’re providing to their industries. Our faculty hail from various industries and backgrounds, which provides an enriching and diverse perspective for students. Nearly a third of our faculty are from outside the United States, bringing a world of experience to the classroom.

Close the gap

It’s no secret that women in Utah experience a larger gender pay gap than their counterparts in other states. We can help close the gender pay gap by celebrating female business leaders and equipping them with the tools to succeed. We’re ranked top 10 among U.S.-based schools for the proportion of female students in the cohort. We keep our word

An MBA is not a magic bullet. Most Executive MBA students have already achieved considerable success, but if you’re willing to put in the work, we can equip you with the tools you need to level up. In fact, our alumni reported an average 9.03/10 satisfaction rating with their MBA experience to Financial Times.

Leverage the network

One of the major advantages of an Executive MBA experience is the extensive experience and valuable insight of your classmates. Financial Times ranked us #13 in U.S.-based schools for work experience. Your stock will continue to go up

Students see real career advancement as a result of their participation in our program. In fact, the average salary increase for students three years post-graduation was 57%, for an average post-MBA salary of $168,444.
