BOART LONGYEAR: FOUNDATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM The Foundational Leadership Program was created to reward frontline leaders for supervising, managing, and delegating in their current role with Boart Longyear. The FLP combines the skills you already have with content from the world-class University of Utah faculty to build you into our organization’s most effective and respected leader. Our commitment to bringing leadership training to those emerging leaders is paramount to the organization’s success. The first step in this success is offering you a leadership academy. In this program, you will see pre-recorded videos, thought-provoking workbooks & journal activities, knowledge checks, and more! The entire program is on-demand and online for your convenience, allowing you to access the content anytime and anywhere with an internet connection. This program is the first step in growing as a leader at Boart Longyear. All courses in this program are offered in English, Spanish, and French.

Presenting Faculty in Partnership With the Boart Longyear Team Abe Bakhsheshy, Ph.D. Dr. Abe is the David Eccles School of Business Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Director and Professor (Lecturer) of Organizational Behavior in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Jennifer Cummings, Ph.D. Dr. Jennifer Cummings is an Associate Professor (Lecturer) in the Management Department at the David Eccles School of Business and a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Utah. Patricia Gorman, Ph.D. Dr. Patricia (Trish) Gorman is a globally recognized strategy expert, author, consultant, and professor at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Robert Valentino, Master Black Belt Robert Valentino is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Founder of Lean Coach®. He has established a track record as an advisor and expert in applying Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Scrum methodologies. Glen Kreiner, Ph.D. Dr. Glen Kreiner is a Professor of Management at the University of Utah. He received his Master’s in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University and his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Arizona State University. Heidi Herrick, Ph.D. Dr. Heidi Herrick is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the University of Utah. Dr. Herrick’s recent research and consulting work focuses primarily on strategic leadership, enrollment of key stakeholders, and innovation. Bonita Austin, MBA Bonita Austin is a Professor (Lecturer) in the Entrepreneurship and Strategy Department at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, where she has received many teaching awards.
