CUSTOMIZE YOUR MBA
The PMBA curriculum is comprised of a core curriculum that lays a strong foundation in diverse business disciplines. Electives expand on that foundation and allow you to design your path of study, whether that means focusing on a specific discipline or taking courses across a variety of subjects.
The PMBA learning experience does not end in the classroom. The ability to work full-time while pursuing an MBA provides you with the unique opportunity to immediately apply what you learn in class to your current role. Using the business, leadership, and strategy principles you learn in class at work and bringing your experiences back into the classroom for discussion enhances your ability to master those skills.
The David Eccles School of Business faculty who teach PMBA classes are award-winning researchers, corporate success stories, successful entrepreneurs, outstanding authors, and accomplished teachers. Their passion and expertise put them on the cutting edge of business innovation. Our instructors build your knowledge and understanding of core business principles through strong academic theories, case-based curricula, and vibrant discussion.
CORE CURRICULUM
Core courses make up approximately two-thirds of a PMBA student’s curriculum. During the first year, core courses are taken with a cohort of 40 - 60 students. This enables you to network and learn with a diverse group of students with different educational, professional, and personal backgrounds.
ELECTIVES
Elective courses make up about a third of a PMBA student’s course of study and dozens of elective offerings are available each semester. In-person, online, and hybrid electives are available.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
In addition to academic courses, there are on-campus organizations and experiential learning opportunities available to fit any business interest. Organizations like the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, PIVOT Center, and more provide a robust learning community with opportunities for growth outside of the classroom.
“I needed a program that could teach me the fundamental elements of business, and the Professional MBA program did just that. The faculty, curriculum, and my classmates were outstanding.”
Nicholas Anderson Managing Partner, LDD Partners
