Meet UTC's In-House Transcript Evaluator

Page 1

UTC Now Performing In-House Transcript Evaluations The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has begun completing international transcript evaluations in-house, without the involvement of external evaluation services. This makes the UTC application process more affordable, more convenient, and faster than ever before. Meet our new credential evaluator, Sarah Anne Perry. Sarah Anne graduated from the University of Georgia in 2015, then taught at a bilingual high school in Ecuador. Later, she worked in Mexico and the western U.S., teaching at a traveling international school for elite rock climbers. Finally, she moved to Chattanooga for its worldclass climbing, renowned tech scene, and cultural eclecticism. In addition to working in the Center for Global Education at UTC, she is pursuing a master’s in instructional technology. As a graduate student herself, Sarah Anne knows applying to a new university can feel overwhelming. As UTC’s designated credential evaluator, she helps streamline the process for international applicants. After receiving an applicant’s academic credentials, Sarah Anne verifies their authenticity and performs a course-by-course analysis. During this process, she converts the student’s course credits and grades to the UTC equivalents. Once the evaluation is complete, UTC can make an admissions decision. Detailed information about documentation requirements is available at utc.edu/international.
