PRE-HEALTH PROFESSIONS AND EXPERIENTIAL OUTREACH: Bridging Basic Sciences with Healthcare and Research.

UT Health Northeast is committed to increasing diversity and participation in health careers and advanced degrees by engaging undergraduate students and local youth in meaningful programs aimed at raising awareness of health science education. The Pre-Health Professions efforts at UT Health Northeast include a variety of community partnerships such as summer camps, symposiums, and short-term experiences, internships and other culminating experiences in collaboration with other institutions of higher education, secondary schools, and community agencies. Programs include: • Medical Scholars Academy (High School) • Clinical Internship/Externship Program (High School / Undergraduate) • Clinical Rotations for students pursuing degrees and certifications in radiology, pharmacy, nursing, and other related fields. ACADEMIC PATHWAY PROGRAMS FOR UNDERGRADUATES UT Health Northeast provides guided admissions through partnerships with select undergraduate institutions to help students advance seamlessly into graduate level degree programs in public health and biomedical sciences.
