Laila & Colten

Andrew and I share many of the same interests and personality traits and bring the best out in each other. We both love the outdoors and traveling and have tried so many new things. We have walked on sand, rocks, mountains, and snow. We swam in oceans, rivers, lakes, and waterfalls. We have tried to face our fears together knowing we are there for each other, to lend a hand and/or hug in hard times, makes it all better.

Montana, specifically Glacier National Park has always been on our bucket list to visit as we both love visiting a different national park each year. So we said, “why not get married in one?” After extensive research we decided to start planning an intimate wedding in Montana. We searched for the perfect spot in Glacier and found Marianne Wiest and then found Ryan’s Meadow. The day of our ceremony we had beautiful, sunny weather and the temperature could not have been any better. It was the perfect day to share the most gorgeous mountain view on Lake McDonald.

I specifically remember all the emotions and memories walking down the wooded path. I was surrounded by trees while being escorted by my father as I got ready to marry my forever best friend. We had the most amazing officiant, musician, wedding planner, caterer, and of course photographer. The night ended with a beautiful set-up at our cabins with delicious barbecue food, s’mores around the bonfire, and plenty of other sweet treats. Our celebration eventually had to end but we were surrounded by our closest family and friends. On this unforgettable trip we shared many lifelong memories, had bonfires, and even convinced our big city family and friends to experience hiking with us. It was a true Montana experience and we would not have changed a thing about our special day.

Compared to every other wedding that we’ve ever been to our wedding was very relaxed. Our awesome vendors helped make our day stress-free and we just went with the flow. Having never been to Montana or met any of our vendors in person was a little stressful at first but once the day started things quickly fell into place.

Some think just because it’s a small wedding you don’t need a wedding planner, but because we live on the East Coast this was so crucial in making our big day a success.
