Building the Future Impact Report

When I graduate from UTS, I’ll look back at this building and all the moments I experienced in it—everything you made possible—and take that gratitude with me to wherever my next adventure is.

You’ve shown me what the UTS community can do. Avi Shah ’25

We don’t want to be the best in spite of our facilities. We want to be the best, enhanced by great facilities. The possibility that there might not be a UTS was something that shouldn’t even be contemplated, because it’s so important to the community and the country. That’s why this campaign has been so important.

Now, UTS is ready for the future. Jim Fleck C.C. ’49 P ’72 Chair, UTS Board of Directors Chair, Building the Future campaign

You’re investing in the leaders, changemakers and thinkers of tomorrow. Throughout our years at UTS, we’ve personally seen the impact that donors have on each and every student. Thank you for helping make our UTS education a transformative period in our lives. Mia Richond ’20 and Andrei Comlosan-Pop ’20 2019-2020 UTS Co-Captains

It is well-known that UTS has nurtured an impressive number of internationally renowned musicians, playwrights, composers and art-makers, and continues to attract some of the most talented young musicians in the city. What is perhaps less-known, but all too familiar to our students, teachers, and alumni, is that this pursuit of excellence has always entailed a re-purposing of our hallways, closets and stairwells as teaching and rehearsal spaces.

To imagine... having dedicated learning spaces and state-of-the-art facilities for rehearsal, performance, creative and collaborative process is absolutely thrilling.

For the first time in our history, the potential of the space will reflect the potential of the students. Sarah Shugarman Music Teacher Department Coordinator of Expressive Arts

UTS is about being the best you can be and I think this allowed me to push myself to celebrate my love of learning. UTS prepared me well for the life after graduation. If it weren’t for UTS, I wouldn’t be confident in my abilities and my unique self.

I am very thankful for the education I received at UTS. Olivia Anderson-Clarke ’17

My gratitude to you is immeasurable. Your support shows that UTS is far more than halls and classrooms, but the source of a strong and enduring community that cares deeply for our school and everything it means.

Because of you, UTS and its tradition of excellence will shine brighter. Rosemary Evans Principal
