CREATIVE Michael Bruner (Interactive System Designer, Video Director) is a third-year M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in integrated media for live performance. His work explores how design and storytelling can be integrated into diverse media and environments to enable afective sensory experiences that create community, even when socially distant. Recent performance credits include (Re)current Unrest (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2020), K ! :D D: Ö (Frank Wo/Men Collective, 2020) and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2020), in addition to a range of ongoing collaborations. Chris Conard (Scenic Designer) is an Austinbased scenic and lighting designer for theatre, events and installations. He graduated from Santa Fe University of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Technical Theater Design in 2014 and has designed for companies in Austin, Santa Fe, New York and Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing a M.F.A. in Design and Technology at The University of Texas at Austin. Conard continues to create original devised work with Frank Wo/Men Collective, a company he cofounded in Austin in 2016. He has also served as the technical director for Fusebox Festival. Conard is the recipient of the 2017 and 2018 Austin Critics Table Awards for Best Set Design, the 2017 B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Set Design and the 2019 B. Zoey Crow (Media Designer) is a second-year M.F.A in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in integrated media for live performance. Recent Texas Theatre and Dance credits include projection design for Fall For Dance (2019), assistant projection design for 12 Ophelias (a play with broken songs) (2019) and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (2020) as well as associate media design for (Re)current Unrest (2020). Jason Lee Huerta (Technical Director) is the associate scenic studio supervisor for Texas Performing Arts at The University of Texas at Austin. He has a M.F.A. in Scenic Technology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before coming to Austin, he worked at various theatres including Goodman Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, South Texas College and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Khristián Méndez Aguirre (Director, Lead Playwright) is a theatre-maker, arts researcher and scholar from Guatemala City. Recent directing credits include Everybody by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (PPP Graduate Student Alliance, 2019) and Mr. Burns, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn (“Better Mr. Burns” project, 2018). khristianmendez.com
CREATIVE Julio Muñoz (Stage Manager) is a B.A. in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in stage management at The University of Texas at Austin. Recent credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include Bog Butter (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2020) and Dance Repertory Theatre’s Fortitude (2019), as well as Tales from the Globe (UT Shakespeare Company, 2019).
Lindsey Rae (Costume Designer, Cinematographer) is a third-year M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in costume design. She has designed costumes for several Texas Theatre and Dance productions including Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (2020), Sow and Suckling (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2020) and XOR (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2019).
Pollyanna O'Hair (Sound Designer) is a fourthyear B.S. in Arts and Entertainment Technologies major. O’Hair has worked for Hogg Memorial Auditorium as an audio/visual technician for the past two years, working with events spanning from concerts to talk shows. Currently, she is the Department of Theatre and Dance's student audio coordinator. Previous credits with Texas Theatre and Dance include serving as the sound engineer for 12 Ophelias (a play with broken songs) (2019) and Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (2020) as well as the audio engineering assistant for Spring Awakening (2019).
Bill Rios (Lighting Designer) is a third-year M.F.A. in Design and Technology candidate with a focus in lighting design at The University of Texas at Austin. His recent lighting design credits include Spring Awakening (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2019), The Creek Monster Habitat (Texas Applied Arts), Collaborative Escape Room Project (Texas Applied Arts), Spillage and Lloronx (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2019) and Magic Box (DTYC Thesis Project, 2018).

CAST Jayla Mariah Ball (Kimberly Jones, Annie) is a B.A in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in performer’s process also pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism and a minor in Radio-TelevisionFilm at The University of Texas at Austin. She's received training in acting, dance and singing from a young age and is transitioning those skills to film. She is currently participating in the UTLA Semester in Los Angeles program. Ball was recently seen in Culture Shock (Campus Events + Entertainment African American Culture) and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody (PPP Graduate Student Alliance, 2019), directed by Khristián Méndez Aguirre. Melissa K. Elkins (Anchor) is a second-year B.A. in Theatre and Dance major with an emphasis in performer’s process. She has participated in many community theatre productions in her hometown of Dallas-Fort Worth. This is her first production with Texas Theatre and Dance. Andrew Kusman (Tiger) is a first-year B.F.A. in Acting major at The University of Texas at Austin. This is his first production with Texas Theatre and Dance. Juan Padron (Carl) is a second-year B.F.A in Acting major at The University of Texas at Austin originally from Houston, Texas. Year of the Tiger is his first production with Texas Theatre and Dance.
Montserrat Santibáñez (Laura Curran, Sally May Lancaster) is a third-year B.A. in Theatre and Dance and International Relations and Global Studies double major. She is also completing a certificate in Human Rights and Social Justice from the Bridging Disciplines Program and is part of the Portuguese Flagship Program at The University of Texas at Austin. Santibáñez is a Mexican artist with a passion for change. Recent productions include Tjipetir: A Search History (UTNT (UT New Theatre), 2020); Noises and Voices: A Collection of Ghost Stories (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2019); Matawan (Texas Theatre and Dance, 2018); The Sacrament of Matrimony (The Cohen New Works Festival, 2019) and S.E.E.D. (Dance Action). Tori Schulze (Donald Trump, Marta Perkins) is a fourth-year B.A. in Theatre and Dance major at The University of Texas at Austin.
