Review of applications for Fall admission begins in January and continues throughout the semester until August 1. Review of applications for Spring begins in September and continues until December 1. TU seeks to admit students who have demonstrated the potential for success in a rigorous academic environment. While a college grade point average of 2.75 is recommended, a holistic review of all factors will be conducted. Academic record, tests, work and other pertinent experience, as well as evidence of qualities such as motivation, perseverance and time management will be considered. Engineering applicants are required to meet a minimum GPA requirement in selected math and science core courses. Applicants who have submitted all required materials will be notified of a decision in three to four weeks. Admission is provisional for students who have course work in progress. Final, official transcripts must be mailed directly from the college to TU’s Office of Admission upon course completion. Students who have an undergraduate degree and wish to take prerequisite courses for a master’s degree or professional school should contact the Office of Admission for information about applying as a non-degree seeking student.

TRANSFER CREDIT Transfer credit is determined by TU Academic Advisers in your college of interest. We recommend you plan your transfer credit in advance as best you can. To learn more about how your credit will transfer, contact an adviser from the list below or visit admission.utulsa.edu/apply/transferapplicants/. The last 45 hours of an undergraduate degree program must be earned at The University of Tulsa, and no more than 62 hours of credit may be accepted from two-year institutions. Credit is not given for CLEP exams, nor is credit awarded for work experience, vocational/technical courses, work from non-accredited institutions, military experience or courses with a grade below C.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE There are two types of aid for which you may be eligible: merit-based (or academic) scholarships, and need-based funding. There is no separate application to be considered for TU academic scholarships, and eligibility is largely determined by GPA and academic background. Academic scholarships are awarded to full-time, degree-seeking transfer students, and are determined at the time of admission. The Transfer Hurricane Scholarship & Transfer Honors Scholarship cannot be stacked. All TU scholarships are renewable with a 2.0 cumulative gpa. The transfer academic scholarships are listed below.

FINANCIAL AID 918-631-2526 Need based financial aid in the form of university, federal and/or state grants; subsidized and unsubsidized loans; and Federal Work Study may be available to students who qualify. To apply for assistance, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with TU’s code 3185, as soon as possible after October 1 for the following academic year. Students who transfer mid-year should supply TU with their FAFSA report for that academic year.
