The college’s Office of Career Services—dedicated to engineering and computer science students—brings to campus two, large career fairs annually and offers career preparation services that cover resume writing, interviewing and more. Students can participate in any of the 34 student organizations within the college, including professional clubs with national affiliations and local clubs.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella (’90 MS Computer Science) is one of the college’s more than 12,000 alumni. He immigrated to the U.S. from India to study at UWM, where his professors inspired him to take on some of the most challenging problems in computer science.
Entrepreneurship encouraged through coursework, competitions and UWM’s new Lubar Entrepreneurship Center. With this support, Ali Bakshinejad (’18 PhD Mechanical Engineering) became one of the many alumni to launch a growing business— an AI-powered diagnostic and surgical planning tool.
