English for academic purposes
Two programs are available to help you be successful in your academic work: • Pre-Academic Intensive English Program (noncredit) • Academic English: writing, speaking, listening (credit)
Students who do not meet the English proficiency requirements for regular admission may be eligible for dual or conditional admission. Dual admission permits part-time academic study in addition to part-time English language instruction. Conditional admission allows for full academic admission but requires full-time English language study in UWM’s English Language Academy until English proficiency requirements are met.
