TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY Formed nationally in 1984, the United Way Tocqueville Society is named after the French historian, Alexis de Tocqueville, who admired the generosity of Americans, and their compassion and willingness to help one another. Tocqueville Society members lead by example because of their deep understanding of our community’s most serious issues. Our community is strengthened locally by this network of like-minded individuals who care about children and families and creating long-lasting change through United Way. Members are recognized for gifts of $10,000 or more each year to United Way.
Constitution Society Member: • Colleague –$1,000 to $2,499 annually • Framer–$2,500 to $4,999 annually • Founder–$5,000 to $9,999 annually
