Assessment Assessment patterns differ slightly from subject to subject, however many include a coursework, practical or oral component, portfolio work or product design. Examinations at the end of Grade 10 are scheduled in subjects where this is required in preparation for Grade 11 and 12. Major assessment pieces are initially marked by the teacher, and internally moderated within the Department.
