1. UWCSEANomineeProgramme(UNP)
Meansaprogrammewherebyacorporation,familyoffice and/orindividualobtainsoneormoreUNPplacesat UWCSEAforafixednumberofQualifiedChildren(defined inParagraph4below)
2. ASubscriber
Meansacorporation,familyofficeand/orindividual whichhasbeenacceptedbyUWCSEAasaUNP Subscriberandthathaspaidtheprescribedsubscription feeinfull.
3. ACorporation
Meansanybodycorporateformedorincorporatedin Singaporeandincludescompanies,limitedliability partnerships,andanytrustsorpartnershipsdeemedto beabodycorporate
4. Nominees
MeansthechildrennominatedbytheSubscriberwho havemettheCollege’sentrancecriteriaassetoutin Paragraph6below WheretheSubscriberisa corporation,thenomineemustbeachildofan authorisedrepresentativeofthecorporationwhich includesemployeesofthecorporation
5. UNPSubscriptiondeposit
ProspectiveSubscribersarerequiredtopayaUNP subscriptiondepositofS$10,000(plusGST)(‘the Deposit’)perUNPPlace,whichwillbedeductedfromthe finalinvoiceifthesubscriptiongoesahead
IftheProspectiveSubscriberwithdrawsthesubscription, theDepositwillbeforfeitedtotheCollegeunlessthe withdrawalwasduetothepotentialNomineenot meetingtheentrancecriteriainwhichcasetheDeposit willberefundedinfulltotheProspectiveSubscriber
6. Admissionspre-screening
FollowingpaymentoftheUNPDeposit,the non-refundableAdmissionsapplicationfeebythe ProspectiveSubscriber,andthesubmissionofa completedapplicationforthepotentialNominee,the AdmissionsDepartmentwillreviewthepotential Nominee’sapplicationtoensuretheNomineemeetsthe College’sAdmissionsrequirements,includingbutnot limitedtoentrancecriteriaapplicableatthetimeof nomination.
Theapplication,inthisrespect,issubjecttothesame admissionspoliciesandpracticesasallotherapplicants totheCollegeandtheNomineemayberequiredto participateininterviewsorassessments Aswithallother applications,thedecisionoftheDirectorofAdmissionsas toeligibilityisfinal
IfthepotentialNomineedoesnotmeettheentrycriteria oftheCollege,theProspectiveSubscriberisnotobligated totakeupthesubscriptionandmayrequestrefundofthe SubscriptionDeposit.
7. UNPPlace
AUNPPlaceisaplacemadeavailabletoaSubscriberto enableittoputforwardapotentialNomineefor pre-screening.
8. Eligibilityfornomination
ApplicationscanbemadetotheCollege,throughthe UNPorthenormaladmissionsprocessforagivenschool year,butnotboth.IfanapplicationismadeviatheUNP toonecampus,thenthestudentisprecludedfrom applyingvianormaladmissionattheothercampus BoardersarenoteligiblefornominationthroughtheUNP programme.
9. Singlecampusnominations
EachSubscribermayappointoneNominee forasingle campusonly.
10. UNPsubscriptionsarenon-transferable betweencampusesandchildren
UNPplacesarecampusspecificandarenottransferable betweencampusesorbetweenchildren.
11 Academicyear
TheUWCSEAacademicyearshallcommenceeachyearas perthedatessetoutintheCollegecalendarundereach campus’termdatesontheCollegewebsite.
12. UNPplacesavailableeachacademic year
AverylimitednumberofUNPplaceswillbeavailable eachacademicyear,acrossbothcampuses.
13. Applicationdate
TheSubscribermustapplytonominateastudentforK1 toGrade8pre-screeningby1Aprilforadmissionin Augustofthecomingschoolyear.Forstudentsapplying
forGrade9,Grade10orGrade11entry,nominations mustbeinby31Januaryinthecalendaryearof proposedAugustentry,toallowforassessmentsand interviews.
TheUNPsubscriptionmustbepaidinfull,beforea Nomineeisplacedontheapplicationroll.Thepositionon theapplicationrollwillbedeterminedbythedatethe Nominee’scompleteapplicationisreceived,dulysigned, andtheUNPsubscriptionhasbeenfullypaid TheCollege canplaceNominees,uptoandincludingthestartofTerm 2(Januaryentry),forGrade8andbelow,asandwhen lateleaverplacesbecomeavailable However,new NomineesforGrades9andabovewillonlybeaccepted fortheAugustintake,tostartatthebeginningofeach schoolyear.
14. Graderestrictions
UNPplacesarenotavailableinK2atDoverCampus Theremaybeothergradesforwhich,irrespectiveofthe dateofapplication,placesmaynotbeavailable Children thatmeettheentrycriteriathathaveappliedforthese gradesbytheUNPdeadlinewillbeplacedtogetherwith otherNomineesatthetopoftherespectiveapplication roll,fortherelevantgrade.Thepositiononthe applicationrollwillbedeterminedbythedatethe Nominee’scompleteapplicationisreceived,dulysigned, andtheUNPsubscriptionhasbeenfullypaid
15. Withdrawala ernomination
IfaSubscriberwishestowithdrawaNominee,the SubscribermustnotifytheCollegeinwriting The Subscriberwillprocurethewithdrawalformtobesigned bytheparentoftheNominee.NorefundoftheUNP subscriptionwillbegivenonwithdrawal A Subscriber canreinstatethenominationforthesameNominee beforetheUNPdeadline.If,however,therequestto reinstatethenominationisa ertheUNPdeadline,the Nomineewillbeplacedatthetopoftheapplicationroll, asoutlinedinParagraph13
16. Applicationrollpriorityforsiblings
SiblingsofQualifiedChildrenshallnothavepriorityin admissioninthesameacademicyearthattheUNP NomineecommencesattheCollege
17. Nonrefundable,transferableor tradeable
TheUNPsubscriptionisnotrefundable,transferableor tradeable
18. Nomineewhoisaskedtoleavethe College
ShouldaNomineeoftheSubscriberbeaskedtoleavethe Collegeforwhateverreason,therewillbenorefundof thesubscriptionfeepaid
19. Applicationandenrolmentfees,first term’sinadvancefees,tuitionfeesand developmentlevy
ApprovedNomineeswillbesubjecttoallfeesand expensesoftheCollegeassetoutintheCollege’s StandardTermsandConditions Applicationand enrolmentfees,firstterm’sinadvancefees(tuitionfees anddevelopmentlevy)willbeinadditiontothe subscriptionfeetojointheUNP.Intheeventwherethe firstterm’sinadvancefeesremainunpaidfortwo(2) weeksfromthedateoftheletterofoffer,theUNPPlace willbewithdrawnandofferedtoanotherQualifiedChild ontheapplicationlist,irrespectiveoftheUNPPlace reservedbytheSubscriber
20. Paymentoffirstterm’sfeesinadvance Onacceptanceofaplace,theparentsofthenew NomineeorthesponsoringCorporationwillpaythefirst term’sfeesinadvancetotheCollege Nomineeswhoseapplicationsarewithdrawnordeferred, priortoarrivalanda erthefirstterm’sfeeshavebeen paid,willforfeitthesefees Thefollowingterm’sfeeswill bepaidbeforethecommencementofthetermandsuch feesarenotrefundableinwholeorinpartunlessnotice hasbeengiventotheCollegebeforetheremovalofthe NomineeaspertheCollege’sStandardTermsand Conditions.Ifpaymentofthefollowingterm’sfeeshas notbeenreceivedfourweeksa erthecommencementof aterm,theCollegewilltakethisasanotificationof withdrawalattheendofthetermandtheplacewillbe offeredtoanotherstudent Noticeinwritingnolaterthan thepublisheddeadlineforwithdrawal,mustbegivento theCollegebeforeremovalofthechildforthefollowing term,andifsuchnoticeisnotgiven,allfeespaidtodate willberetainedbytheCollege

Amendments
TheCollegereservestherighttomakeanychangesto theseTermsandConditionsduringthecourseofeach academicyearwithoutpriornotice
22. UWCSEA’srighttoassessUNP applicationsandexercisediscretion
TheCollegereservestherighttoassessallUNP applicationsreceivedandexerciseitsdiscretionwhen allocatingUNPplaces.TheCollegeisundernoobligation toprovidereasonsincaseswhereapplicationsarenot successfulandshallnotbeheldliablelegallyor otherwise,whatsoeverandhowsoeverarisingforany suchdecisions
23. Jurisdictioninaccordancewiththe lawsofSingapore
TheUWCSEANomineeProgrammewillbegovernedby andconstruedinaccordancewiththelawsofSingapore
24. Resolutionofdisputes
Incaseswhereadisputearisesinconnectionwiththe UNPPlacesorotherwise,thematterwillbereferredto theUWCSEABoardofGovernorsforresolution Ifnot satisfactorilyresolvedwithinthreemonths,theparties agreetosubmittothenon-exclusivejurisdictionofthe SingaporeCourts.
25. Exclusionofliability
Noliabilitywhatsoeverhowsoeverarisingshallbe incurredbytheCollegetotheCorporateSubscriberorits employeesortheNomineesforanythingdone,declined oromittedtobedonebytheCollegehereunder
26. Invalidprovisions
NotwithstandingthatanyprovisionoftheseTermsand Conditionsmayprovetobeinvalid,illegalor unenforceable,theremainingprovisionsshallcontinuein fullforceandeffect
27. ForceMajeure
IftheCollegeisbyreasonofForceMajeure(herea erdefined) renderedunablewhollyorinparttoperformitsobligations underthisAgreement,thenuponnoticeinwritingofsuch ForceMajeurefromtheCollegetotheSubscriberassoonas reasonablypracticablea ertheoccurrenceofthecauserelied on,theCollegeshallbereleasedfromsuchobligationstothe extent
towhichtheyareaffectedbythecircumstancesofForce Majeureandfortheperiodduringwhichthosecircumstances exist.“ForceMajeure”hereinmeansanyofthefollowing events:
a war,invasion,rebellion,revolution,insurrectionorcivil war;
b actofgovernmentinitssovereigncapacity;
c. earthquakes,fire,lightning,storms,floodsoranyother occurrencecausedbytheoperationoftheforcesof nature;
d strikes,lockouts,boycottsorlabourdisputes;
e terrorism,sabotage,arson,epidemic;or
f. anyothereventsimilartoanyoftheforegoing oranyothereventbeyondthereasonablecontrolofthe College
