Yellow Bus Service Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter called the “Contractor”) which expression shall where the context so admits include its assigns and successors in title, hereby undertakes, covenants and agrees to provide the bus transport services to the above mentioned students of United World College of South East Asia (hereinafter called the “School”) under such terms and conditions as set out between the School and the Contractor and on such terms and conditions as may be modified, altered or agreed upon between the School and the Contractor in the provision of and/or during the tenure of the provision of the bus transport services to the above students.
We require 2 weeks’ advance notice for all new applications. Late submissions may result in students not being able to ride on the bus on the desired date. This registration form cannot be processed unless it is duly signed. By signing this application form, you have agreed to the terms & conditions of the waiver and indemnity form overleaf as well as the Terms and Conditions mentioned herein in pages 3 to 8 of the accompanying documents. In accordance to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our data protection policy, you have agreed that Yellow Bus Services Pte. Ltd. may collect, use and disclose your personal data, as provided in this application form for the following purposes:
(a) the processing of this application; and
(b) the administration of the application with our organisation;
(c) the dissemination of information regarding our products and services

In consideration of you, United World College of South East Asia (UEN No. 197000825H) and United World College of South East Asia - East (UEN No.200801795N), a company registered under the Companies Act (Cap. 185) and having its registered office at 1207 Dover Road Singapore (hereinafter referred to as the “School”) arranging transportation on my behalf for the child/children named overleaf to be conveyed to and/or from school by means of a bus transport system provided by an independent contractor known as Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd (UEN No.200813143M) (hereinafter referred to as the “Contractor”) which approval and/or appointment I do hereby acknowledge and approve on such terms as may be agreed between yourselves and the Contractor at all material times in respect of the provision of a bus transport system for my child/children to be conveyed to and/or from School. I do hereby agree as follows:
1. I understand that in consideration of the Contractor and Bus Operators (“Bus Operators” means all owners of buses engaged by the Contractor and whose buses are supplied in the operation of the bus transport service for the students of the School) providing a bus transport service for my child/children in accordance with the conditions and bus rules (enclosed herewith) defined and agreed by the School on my behalf, I will pay the contractor for the bus transport service at the beginning of each term at the prescribed rates and I will be bound by the conditions and bus rules defined and agreed by the School on my behalf.
2. I understand that my child/children is/are conveyed to and/or from school at my own risk and not at the risk of the School, which is acting in a liaison role between the Contractor and parents. I agree that the School shall not be liable or be responsible for any accident or personal injury sustained or suffered by my child/children or for my child’s death or for any damage or loss to my child’s personal belongings, however caused, whilst my child/children is/are being conveyed, or is/are waiting to be conveyed, to and/or from school. I hereby release the School from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, actions or causes of action on account of or arising from any of the foregoing matters, including such action that may be taken by the School subsequent to any accident or incident in which personal injury, death, loss or damage has occurred.
3. In the event of any emergency, I do hereby authorize the School and/or the Contractor to arrange such medical attention for my child/children as may be reasonable and available in the circumstances and I undertake to pay all medical and hospital fees and incidental charges in respect of medical attention given to my child/children and to reimburse the School and/or the Contractor for any such fees and charges and all incidental costs and expenses which may have been paid by the School and/or the Contractor.
4. I fully understand that if I should board any of the buses under the said transport service there shall not be any insurance coverage for myself, and the School and/or the Contractor shall not be held liable in any way whatsoever.
5. I further agree to indemnify the School against any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, actions or causes of action which my child/children, his/her next-of-kin, parent, guardian, personal representatives and/or dependents may bring, make or have against the School on account of any matters above.
6. Reference herein to the School shall include references to the School, its officers, and office bearers, employees, agents and other persons authorized by the School from time to time; but shall not include the Contractor and/or Bus Operators or their officers, employees, agents or other authorized to act on their behalf.
7. Nothing in the above document shall limit the rights of any child/children, next-of-kin, parent or guardian, personal representative and/or dependents from taking action against any third party (with the exception of the School) including but not limited to the Contractor, Bus Operators or their officers, employees, agents or other persons authorized to act on their behalf.
1. Only fully enrolled students of United World College of South East Asia registered with the Committee of Private Education are permitted to ride on Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd school buses.
2. Only registered bus riders who have paid for their bus fares are permitted to ride on the school buses. Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd reserves the right to suspend bus services for riders with outstanding bus fare payment.
3. Ridership New Applications will only be processed when the Registration Form has been signed by a parent or guardian, acknowledging the "Page3 - Waiver and Indemnity", "Page4 and 5 - Bus Rules", "Page 6 - Parents' Information" and "Page 7 and 8 – Bus Fare and Accounting Information". Please take note that a two-week notice period is required for processing of new applications. Late submission may result in students not being to get on the bus on the desired date.
4. Priority will be given to students using Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd two-way services. Students who wish to use only the one-way service will be accommodated if there is room on the bus.
5. Students may occasionally be moved from one bus to another to accommodate changes in pick-up areas.
6. Students must only travel on their assigned buses. They are not permitted to cross- transfer to other buses under any circumstances, unless assigned by the Bus Office
7. TERMINATION- If a parent wishes to terminate use of the bus, written notification must be given to the Transport Coordinators at least two weeks prior to the termination date. No refund will be made for students whom are suspended by the school
8. Students must always wear seat belts while on the bus. The students shall fasten their seat belts and comply with the instructions provided by the bus attendants for the entire journey while on the buses. Yellow Bus shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or claims arising from the students’ failure to fasten their seat belt or to comply with the instructions provided by the bus attendants during the course of transportation. The students are responsible for their own safety and must adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the bus attendants. Yellow Bus shall not be responsible for any consequences resulting from the students’ noncompliance with safety measures.
9. Due to hygiene reasons, students are not allowed to eat on the bus, except for drinking water from their respective water bottles.
10. Students are not allowed to bring dangerous and/or sharp objects such as pocketknives on to the bus. Stationeries such as pencils, pens, rulers etc. as well as toys should be kept inside students’ school bags.
11. Students are expected to speak in a soft tone of voice and use acceptable language. Usage of vulgar words and languages would be reported to the school administrators.
12. Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings, including but not limited to, bags, electronic devices, or any other items, left, misplaced, or lost on the bus operated by Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd. Students are solely responsible for the safekeeping of their belongings while traveling on Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd.’s buses. Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal items, regardless of the circumstances under which they were lost or misplaced.
13. Students are prohibited from tampering with security equipment, e.g., on-board Cameras
14. Students are not allowed to reserve seats for friends travelling on the bus.
15. All animals and pets are not permitted on the bus at all times
16. Students are not permitted to change their clothes or remove their clothing when on the bus.
17. Students are expected to be courteous and respectful towards the driver, attendant, and fellow students. Rudeness to drivers and attendants will not be tolerated. The driver and/or attendant will report all matters of misbehaviour to the Bus Office. These reports will be passed on to School Administration for appropriate action. This may result in the suspension of bus-riding privileges.
18. Students will be dropped off ONLY at the School, their own home or other pre-arranged designated dropoff point. No provision will be made for students taking their friends home who normally travels on another bus or by car.
19. If a bus is unable to enter a condominium compound and exit a residential roadway, students will be given designated pick-up and/or drop-off points (after suitability and safety assessments of the area are carried out by Yellow Bus Services Pte Ltd) which may result in students having to walk a short distance from their residence.
20. Students residing on roads with a cul de sac or on narrow lanes must walk to the pick-up points designated by the Transport Coordinators.
21. Parents should communicate only with the Bus Office and not directly with the driver or attendant.
22. Parents are responsible for educating their children about respecting school property, including the school bus and shall be accountable for any damage caused by their children to the school bus.
23. If your child is not taking the bus at any time for whatever reason, the Bus Driver and the Transport Office must be advised. Failure to notify that a child has permission to stay after school may result in the child being put on the bus and taken home as usual. If the child is sick, please also advise the Bus Driver and the Transport Office to avoid the bus waiting for pick-up and being delayed unnecessarily.
24. At morning pick up, if drivers are continuously kept waiting by certain student, then a report will be made to the Transport Coordinators. If the situation continues, parents may be asked by the Transport Coordinators to make alternative arrangements. Please note that the bus will only wait for 1 minute from the allocated pick-up time before leaving for the next stop. It is advised to be at the waiting point early as no calls will be made to the families prior to leaving after waiting.
25. REIMBURSEMENT – Parents are agreed to reimburse if alternative transport arrangement was made to bring the child back to college by the bus crew.
26. Please note that parents are NOT permitted to ride on the school buses.
27. Requirements such as incoming and outgoing riders. The Service is not an Island-Wide service. Please contact the bus office to check the availability of service in your area.
28. Infant School students
a) Students must have their name cards/tags indicating their bus numbers visible when boarding the bus.
b) Students will sit at the front rows.
c) Strictly, NO playdate arrangement to be made for Infant Students. Students will be dropped off their own home at 3pm at the after-school activity bus drop-off point.
d) Parents of INFANT students are requested to ensure someone meets the bus on arrival home from college. Students not met will be taken to the Transport Office at College to await collection. If drivers or bus attendants find themselves having to bring children back to school on two consecutive occasions, a report will be submitted to the Transport Manager. Should this situation continue, the Transport Manager may request parents to make alternative transportation arrangements.
e) It is highly encouraged for an adult to fetch them from the drop-off location at the end of the day. However, if you wish to drop off an Early Years student without an adult caregiver present, you may inform Yellow Bus to authorize that. An email request must be sent to

3. Buses will wait for only one minute after the designated pick-up time before moving on to the next pick-up point.
4. Bus service is not provided on all Public Holidays or weekend even if School is in session.
5. A female bus attendant is assigned to travel on each bus.
6. Students may be reassigned from one bus to another to accommodate bus service requirements.
7. Parents of students from Nursery to Grade 2 must ensure that a responsible adult is at the assigned dropoff point to meet their child when the bus arrives. Students not met on arrival by a responsible adult will be taken back to the Bus Office at School to await collection.
8. Please inform the Bus Office at least one day in advance if your child is not using the bus at any time for any reasons.
9. Please note that the Bus Drivers and Attendants are not professionally trained medical personnel. UWCSEA health services staff shall provide all relevant medical information to the Contractor so that the bus crew is informed. In the event of a medical emergency, the bus crew shall call for an ambulance and inform the Bus Office Duty Manager and School as soon as possible.
10. It is the objective of the Contractor to plan routes with times of not more than 55 minutes for the regular school bus routes. However, route times are permitted to be more than 55 minutes subject to the approval of the school in order to cater to areas further away from the school, and where there is low demand for the school bus services, etc. The regular school buses arrive at the campus between 7:25am and 7:55am in the morning and depart from the campus between 3:15pm and 3:30pm in the afternoon.
11. The buses are fitted with passenger-facing cameras system and their usage is regulated under the LTA’s PDPA regulations
12. Payment of bus fees must be made within 2 weeks of receipt of invoice. Failure to do so may result in loss of seat on bus.
13. PAYMENT - This is in the form of four (3) school term payments. Payments must be made PROMPTLY on receipt of an invoice and must be made by wire transfer or PayNow. a) All fares are quotes in Singapore Dollars (SGD)
b) The above fees are subjected to the Singapore GST at the prevailing rate.
c) All fares quoted are applicable to both UWCSEA Dover and EAST campuses.
d) Prices quoted are on per rider and per term basis. There are 3 terms per year according to school calendar.
e) Distances are to be calculated based on Google’s shortest distance to and from the registered residence address and the school address
f) The Contractor shall collect from students, parents, or their guardians a non-refundable administrative fee if a student, parent, or their guardian re-register their child during the same school year. The administrative fee for the re-registration shall be at the rate of S$80.00.
2) Payment
a. This is in the form of three (3) school term payments. Payments must be made PROMPTLY on receipts of an invoice and must be made by wired transfer or PAYNOW. Please include the invoice number or children name in the payment reference. A LATE PAYMENT SURCHARGE of 5% of the outstanding amount will be imposed if payment is not received by the due date, followed by suspension of service.
b. Bus service will only commence once full payment of the bus fare has been received before the beginning of each term.
c. Kindly indicate the Family/Company ID and Invoice number after making the transactions and drop us an email (uwcbusaccounts@yellowbus.com.sg) to update us.

3) TERMINATION - If a parent wishes to terminate the use of the bus, at least two week’s notification must be given to the Transport Office prior to the termination date.
a) No charges will be incurred if the termination notice is given two (2) weeks prior to start of each school term
b) Half of the term’s fees will be charged if the termination notice is provided after the term has started.
c) Full term’s fees will be charged despite termination of service after the mid-term break.
d) For all termination / refund, there will be an administrative charge of $21.80 inclusive of GST @ 9% (subject to Government’s revision).
4) REFUND – A parent is entitled to a refund of the remaining weeks of service excluding the one month’s written to the Bus Office.
a) Refunds will not be made for students who are suspended from School.
b) Refunds will not be made if the student is withdrawn from the service without submitting advance notification in writing two weeks before the termination date.
c) Refund will be calculated on weekly basis.
d) Two weeks to process refund.
e) Partial refunds will be offered under Force Majeure conditions and/or when legislated by the government. Partial refunds will be offered from costs saved due to the inability to operate the school bus routes such as fuel and maintenance costs. A full refund cannot be made as the bus operators have to continue with servicing monthly fixed costs such as the financing of the bus, bus insurance and bus crew salaries in order to ensure that the service can continue after the crisis is over. For the avoidance of doubt, Force Majeure conditions shall include but are not limited to the suspension of bus services due to the governmentmandated shift to Home- Based Learning or otherwise during the COVID-19 pandemic.
f) Refunds will not be made when the option is given to use a taxi service, as applied in “5. REIMBURSEMENT,” below.
5) REIMBURSEMENT – Parents are entitled to reimbursement of non-premium taxi fares when approval has been given by the Transport Office (YB). Parents wishing to make arrangements other than the taxi service permitted by the Bus Office will be reimbursed a non-premium taxi-fare equivalent for the journey.
