WHAT’S HAPPENING ON CAMPUS TODAY? INFORMATION FAIR

Arts and Education

Dr. David F. Anderson Gymnasium

›› Tour the main campus including Centennial, Manitoba and Lockhart halls, and the AnX.

›› Visit the department and program booths to speak to professors, students, and staff about degree programs and courses offered. ›› Visit the Student Services booths to learn about scholarships, financial aid, special needs, student housing, and more.

FACULTY INTRODUCTIONS Dr. David F. Anderson Gymnasium ›› Each of UWinnipeg’s five faculties will provide a presentation in the lecture space of the Information Fair. You’ll get a quick preview of each faculty’s offerings and have the opportunity to ask questions.

›› After the tour check out the Anthropology Museum at the top of the escalators (4C39) and the psychology labs open in Lockhart Hall. (day session only)

Science ›› Tour the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex (RCFE). ›› Check out the open biology and chemistry labs to learn more about the exciting research faculty and students are doing.

Prairie Climate Centre ›› Tours leave from the welcome table in the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex (RCFE). ›› The Prairie Climate Centre at UWinnipeg is an evidence-based research centre that communicates the science, impacts, and risks of climate change through maps, documentary video, research reports, and plain-language training, writing, and outreach. ›› Departing throughout the day upon request.

GO ON MULTIPLE TOURS The best way to learn about the university is to see it! There are several different tours happening throughout the day to fit your interests.

ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS The professors, staff, and student ambassadors are here to help! Find out what a day in the life of an arts student is like or go over entrance requirements at the Admissions booth.

6 Degrees Photobooth is on campus today with tons of fun props in tow! Grab your friends and head to the booth beside the campus tours area. Tag @UWinnipeg on Instagram stories for a chance to win a $100 CF Polo Park gift card!

Stop by Café Bohdi to grab a snack or Pangea’s Kitchen in Riddell Hall for hot and cold lunch options.

Win Prizes! There are a ton of door prizes to be given away throughout the day. Make sure to pay attention and ask questions at the Faculty Introductions — you may just go home with one of them! Don’t forget to enter for the $5,000 tuition credit grand prize beside the campus tours area.

FACULTY INTRODUCTIONS Faculty Introductions will take place on the Information Fair floor, in the northwest corner.

Education — 9:45 AM

Science — 11:15 AM

Discover the programs in the Faculty of Education and why teachers are in demand. The path to any profession is always through a teacher.

Students will be provided with a brief overview of UWinnipeg’s varied science programs and the ways in which they each provide opportunities to truly discover, achieve, and belong.

Kinesiology and Applied Health — 10:15 AM Learn about the current degree options in kinesiology and applied health. Answers to FAQs will be provided, including “what can I do with my kinesiology degree?”

Arts — 10:45 AM The Faculty of Arts offers a wide variety of programs and courses of interest to all — from food history to brain science. Come feed your minds.

Business and Economics — 11:45 AM Are you interested in studying economics, finance, or business administration (which includes concentrations in human resources and organizational behavior, co-operative enterprises, accounting, marketing, and international business)? Join us to learn more!

Global College — 12:00 PM This presentation will explore the contested concept of global citizenship.
