Unlimited possibilities for the mob in The Academy The Academy at Western Sydney University is committed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander excellence. Over one-hundred high-achieving Indigenous students have joined The Academy and many others have received offers. The Academy provides students with a unique, hands-on approach to learning in an interdisciplinary environment. Learning draws on the unique experience of leading thinkers, social change agents, community leaders, and high-achieving students
both past and present, with a focus on global citizenship, ethical leadership, and critical thinking. This is underpinned by the principles of community engagement, academic excellence, and personal and professional development. Professor Jonathon Allen, Head of The Academy, said that they are delighted to have increased the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in The Academy and are looking forward to having more students in the future.
