ISPMN, Romanian Institute for Research on National Minorities, Cluj, Romania announces Postdoctoral Programme in Migration, Identity, and Citizenship within the Project “Social Sciences and Humanities in the Context of Globalized Evolution: Development and Implementation of Post-Doctoral Studies and Research Programme”, POSDRU 89/1.5/S/61104 Within the European Social Fund programs for Romania, a postdoctoral programme in Migration, Ethnicity and Citizenship will be established at the Romanian Institute for Researches on National Minorities, Cluj, Romania. The programme is designed to support highly qualified researchers specialised in migration and citizenship studies. The research and publication proposals can cover a wide variety of subjects, however we encourage proposals dealing with issues such as ethnic identity and citizenship. Furthermore, the programme is mainly designed to support publications and research projects dealing with the Eastern Europe. These can be either studies on Eastern European migrants in the Western Europe, or migration and citizenship issues in the Eastern Europe. Successful candidates are expected to attend regular research seminars at the institute, to conduct independent research, or realize a record of publications. Involvement into the activities of partners included in the programme is welcomed. The programme offers scholarships of 12, 18, and 24 months starting with January 2011. Researchers shall spend most of the time in Cluj, but each scholarship includes a certain number of months of residence somewhere else. Scholarships are awarded with 950 Euros/month (living costs about 5-600 Euros/month). For residences abroad 500 Euros are supplementary awarded for each month.
