Vaginal Mesh Lawsuit Filed vs. Mentor Worldwide in Minnesota

Vaginal mesh lawsuits continue to mount all over the United States, media reports say, highlighting the latest being from a North Carolina woman who has filed a lawsuit against Mentor Worldwide LLC in Minnesota. She is asking compensatory damages for the injuries she sustained after being implanted by the Mentor Ob Tape transobturatorslong in August 3, 2004 for the treatment of her stress urinary incontinence.

She alleges in her complaint that as a result of using their product, she experienced severe complications in the form of mesh erosion, infections, vaginal discharge, and extrusion of the device to the vaginal canal. These adverse effects were chiefly responsible for the conditions she had to endure which included cystitis, extreme pain and urinary difficulties.

A minimum of $ 75,000 compensatory damages has been asked by the plaintiff and her husband for the various injuries she suffered. In her allegations, she claims that Mentor Worldwide is guilty for their failure to warn, breach of warranties, and negligence.
