Clean energy is good business at the Almansa solar energy power plant near Alicante, Spain. The “huerta solar” – solar farm – was developed by a company with a keen eye for value creation. With an internal rate of return (IRR) of 12 percent, Almansa was a clever, profitable opportunity available to the investors. The 8 MW power plant now produces enough energy to power more than 4 800 households.
