Colorado Governor’s Garden Party Features Colorado Chefs This Year

Mountain Winefest in Palisade, CO Turns 21, Adding Free Seminars Colorado Mountain Winefest turns 21 this year, and with it entering legal age, it has become just a little smarter. All festival chef demos and educational seminars are now included in this year’s ticket price, instead of being costly additional add ons to the original price. So festival goers can now enjoy wine tasting, mingling with winemakers, amazing food and wine, and enough education to consider themselves wine experts by the time they leave. All for $43. The festival will take place in Palisade’s (CO) Riverbend Park on Sept. 15, bringing 50 of Colorado’s premier wineries together to celebrate local wine with hundreds of acres of vineyards as the backdrop. The biggest day in Colorado wine each year will also include a grape stomp, ice carving display, and attendees will walk away with a commemorative wine glass and wine tote to carry bottles back home with them. Mountain Winefest typically draws 6,000 each September, with a majority of guests coming from the Grand Val-

ley, Front Range of Colorado as well as New Mexico, Utah, Texas and Arizona. Plus, the days before and after the festival are filled with amazing events to help your audience enjoy the winesoaked adventures the Grand Valley offers. See a complete list at WineColorado.org. Please let us help brainstorm story ideas for your audience and can arrange interviews with just about anyone involved in the festival. I also have a limited number of media credentials, so please let me know as soon as you can if you plan on attending. About CAVE: The Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology (CAVE) is a member-based association that exists to encourage and support enology and viticulture in Colorado. CAVE — one of two organizations that supports Colorado wine — promotes the interests of Colorado grape growers and wineries in legislative and political matters, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, and disseminates current information pertaining to optimum winemaking and agriculture practices for vineyards in the area. CAVE seeks to establish contacts and relationships with other associations, both regional and statewide, to further development and growth of the industry.
