How to Determine Your

Face Shape

Everyone wants to look good, but not everything looks good on everyone. Before picking a hairstyle, or a new pair of glasses, you first need to identify your face shape. Why? Because a style that looks great on an oblong face (that is, long and narrow), won’t complement a square face in quite the same way. So grab a flexible tape measure and follow the guidelines below—you’ll look optimal in no time. First, take the following measurements (in inches or centimeters): 1. Forehead: Pull the tape measure from the peak of one eyebrow arch to the peak of the opposite arch. Record that number. 2. Cheekbones: Measure across your upper cheeks, starting and ending at the sharp bump below the outer corner of each eye. 3. Jawline: Measure from the tip of your chin to the point below your ear where your jaw angles upward. Multiply that number by two. 4. Face length: Measure from the center of your hairline to the tip of your chin. Write down these four measurements. Note which is the largest, and use the information below to determine your face shape.

Which Haircut Suits Your Face Shape? The perfect haircut is more than just a few snips! Before booking a salon appointment, determine your face shape so you’ll know exactly what to ask for because not every cut is made for your face type. Some haircut may enhance your facial features while other don’t. So lets find out which hair cut to go for and what to avoid depending on your face type. Lets get started!

1.

OVAL SHAPE

ALLMOST EVERYTHING. This is the best part about oval face, you can look good in almost everything. From pixie to Shaggy Bob you can go with any hairstyle you want.

2.

ROUND SHAPE

A hairstyle that adds more length to the face and is face framing. Bangs and Layers will slim the face. Make sure the length is longer then chin length, wimpy edge and taped end. One should avoid featering around cheek level asit will add volume to the face. Go for hairstle that add volume to the crown area. Short bobs, blunt cuts, straight fringes. Avoid slicked back ponytails. Round: Cheekbones and face length have a similar measurement. They are larger than forehead and jawline, which also have a similar measurement. The angle of the jaw is soft.

3.

SQUARE SHAPE

Square: All measurements are fairly similar. The angle of the jaw is sharp. Oblong: Face length is largest. Forehead, cheekbones, and jawline are similar in size. Diamond:Face length is largest. Then, in descending order: cheekbones, forehead, and smallest is jawline. The chin is pointed. Triangular: Large jawline, smaller cheekbones, and smallest forehead. Face can be any length. Oval: Face length is larger than the width of the cheekbones, and forehead is larger than the jawline. The angle of the jaw is rounded. Once you’ve got your shape figured out, a new era of informed style will begin. Start by discovering the best hairstyle for your face shape, then follow with a lesson with picking sunglasses and accessories.

Long hairstyle that softerns and frames the edge of the face. Blunt cuts that are just below shoulder length. Feathery bangs or side parting. You can also look for hairstyles that adds hight to the crown and softerns your jaw line. You should avoild short hair cut as it will make your face appear more angular

4.

HEART SHAPE

A heart shape looks good with a soft, curvy or wavy style that frames the face. Also pixie cut and shoulder length hair with layers. Choopy hairs can also add more dimension to the hair. Long bangs can also look good on heart face.Avoid long

5.

DIAMOND SHAPE

Many different styles look good ona diamond shape face. A blunt, shoulder length cut or wispy bangs for long hair. Waivy hair can also go if till chin length. With shoulder lenght hair you can try substal face framing layer. Bangs can also be used to softern the diamonds.

6.

TRIANGLE SHAPE

Shorter is generally better than longer. Avoid any hairstyle which will draw too much attention to your chin area such as straight solid bob cuts. Layered hairstyles will help balance and soften your prominent jaw line. Styles with layers that taper at the jaw line can also be flattering.

6.

OBLONG SHAPE

If you have straight hair you can create more width with a full fringe. Fringes will cover up a particularly large forehead which will help to shorten the face. Fine hair will defiantly appreciate some layers and look better in a short style. Layers will add volume to your hair which will also add width to your face.

Which fruit your body is?
