What is AIESEC? II T ISM DHANBAD IIT ISM Dhanbad is one of the premier institute of India, is home of the brilliant minds of India. It is located in the mineral rich region of India, Dhanbad. Dhanbad , coal capital of India is a culturally diverse place where one can find people from all realms of society. It is adored with beautiful places in proper proportion like Bodhgaya, Pawapuri, Parasnath, Pelamau Tiger Reserves and a lot more which you can explore only after coming. AIESEC in IIT ISM Dhanbad, initiated in 2009, has been appreciated as one of the fastest growing entity in India. Promising and Delivering is one of our feature which helping us experience to be cherished for life .
The Project is Based on the SDG No : 13 Climate Action. We have partnered up with the Government in order to eradicate pollution from Dhanbad .The Project is about plantation of trees in Dhanbad and nearby areas with the help of school volunteers , NGOs and the Government. We are targeting about 35 schools in Dhanbad and 20 NGO’s in Dhanbad. We would be planting about 30k plants with the help of the volunteers , moreover the parents of the students are also involved in this activity .On ground outreach of about 1,00,000 people would be there and Online outreach of about 5,00,000 people would be there.
Impact Dhanbad 1. The interns would be explaining them about why is Plantation important and would be telling them about Culture of their country as well . Secondly we would be having a Drawing Competition whose theme would be Green India. 2. This Plantation Campaign would end by an Event for the volunteers of the schools , colleges , NGOs where parents of the children would also be involved . It would be a Recreational event cum Competition for the students
