Subject to many floods, the Prairie des Angles is a real seperation between the districts of the north and south in Tubize. Therefore, with the inhabitants in mind, to account for this natural disaster, the project is strucutured along two main axes. The NE / SW axis is a dyke that manages the floods to the West part. This allows a clear bassin and relaxation area in the East part. The NW / SE axis offers a boardwalk, floating and adapting to the floods. Where they meet, there is a covered and open space, which acconodates the functions of the program. The material used is stones and wood, this being as it is present at the site.

This plot has the distinction of two roads with very different characteristics. This influenced the project which consists of a base, public space opening onto the roadway, and two built entities. On the avenue side, there are large bays and an open space building with many daytime rooms. The second building is composed of the nightime rooms, which has a much more intimate feel. These two entities are articulated around a vegetable patio with vertical and horizontal circulations. |Elevation Parc Ave

Half of the plot’s perimeter is bordered by party walls. It must accommodate a collective dwelling with this program:
2 studios (1/0) - 45m² 2 apartments (2/1) - 65m² 6 apartments (4/2) - 85m² 1 unit (5/3) - 115m²
The project follows the shape of the party wall with a large excavation in the center. The bays enable long, direct and indirect views. |Elevation

The volume of the project was inspired by the desire to link the historic center with the promontory of Naples by redrawing a part of this axis at the level of the cliff. The project consists of 4 concrete trays, a massive and dense material reminiscent of the robustness of the rock. In contrast, the Corten Steel roof is airy and light. wIt coats the stone ruins, which are present on site, to then become skylights.

The cascading plateaux offers a view of the Bay of Naples. They each host a different function, responding to the mixed program: climbing wall, restaurant and a neighbourhood house. Those requiring a greater degree of intimacy use the rehabilitated ruins.

| La Sambre, Inacessible ? From Charleroi to Farciennes 2017 | 2018
Scale 1
#1 Linking soft mobility networks, train stations and urban centers
This project is included in a written part, whose link is : https://issuu.com/valentineprouff/docs/me_moire_en_architecture_ valentine_ It originated in a tension noted on the site which is the inaccessibility of the river who named La Sambre. The project comes in 3 scales : - The scale of the territory, to understand the issues and show the strategic places of action. - The scale of the commune of Chatelet, to test the hypotheses of actions. - The return on the large territory, to apply these actions to other places and allow a new vision of the territory.
| Accessibility: Level +1
The inaccessibility of the Sambre is due to two major historical facts: the industrial crisis and the canalization of the river.
| Accessibility: Level 0

#3 Reintroducing biodiversity along the Sambre

Scale 3 #1 Linking soft mobility networks, train stations and urban centers
Return to the scale of the large territory, setting up actions on the other places of the site highlighted previously.
Finally, by setting up these actions at the places announced, this allows a new reading of the territory, the Sambre becoming a structuring axis of the territory. The soft mobility is then expanded and serves the cities of the territory through a transverse and longitudinal axis to the Sambre and all the train stations.

Scale 3 #2 Reconnect cities to the river The urban poles now have the opportunity to develop along the Sambre, which also allows to find relationships between banks. This responds to the wishes of the public actors (Chatelet and Farciennes) and residents to reconnect with the river. In addition, this opens up opportunities for the development of economic, commercial and recreational activities as well as a better attraction for those towns that are still struggling to recover from industrial decline. Scale 3 #3 Reintroducing along the Sambre
biodiversity
The creation of ecosystem along the Sambre allows the reintroduction of aquatic and terrestrial biodiversity. Associated with non-profit organizations such as the Rivière Sambre and Affluent Contract or local initiatives such as street fishing, it is possible to raise awareness and involve the population in the management of these ecosystems. This ecological dimension is directly related to the use of a gentler mobility. Places of intervention : 1 - Charleroi 2 - Montignies S/ Sambre 3 - Couillet 4 - Farciennes

| Architectonique The requirements were to propose a facade from a movie, based on a triangular plan. Jean-Luc Godart’s film Bande à Part staged a complicated love story based on «Je t’aime, moi non plus». The project proposes an envelope expressing balance and imbalance; balance in the vertical lines of the bay and imbalance in the oblique lines of the facade. By observing the model from different angles, these two features are always visible simultaneously.

| Prouff Project The project consists of a complete renovation of a one bedroom apartment (50 m²). A wide opening in the transverse wall allows an open space between the living room and the kitchen, in addition to a brighter central part of the apartment. A mezzanine was created above the kitchen and the bathroom. This creates volume with the different ceiling heights. The materials were chosen to bring brightness to the rooms; clear wood and cream paint. The red kitchen warms the mood and gives a pop side to the whole apartment.

| Horeau Project The aim of this project is to elevate the roof by 1 meter. The objective is to take full advantage of the space of the first floor, previously not utelised by the roof slope. This work proposes different new facades. The goal is to harmonise the initial reinforced concrete triangular bay with the new height of the house. The project, chosen by the customer, is to put a wood cladding on the upper part, thus framing the triangular bay on the raised surface.
