Unlocking Belgrade
Dear delegates, It’s a strange world you are getting to know since Saturday morning, Isn’t it? 48 hours ago, you would probably have laughed watching a group of youngsters randomly shouting in the middle of a public place. Taking into account its particular aspect, the European Youth Parliament can sometimes provoke some mocking smiles, from one is watching it from the outside. Don’t drop the laughs nor the smiles though. Now, I hope you will still laugh thinking about how you were enjoying your first “Alele” ever, and smile thinking about the brand new meaning of the word “jellyfish” for you. You worked a lot to build a resolution as perfect as you could. Admiring your creativity, your cooperation and your seriousness, I would like to show you that the media-
team also worked to help you succeed the next step: The General Assembly. Please consider these infographics as a symbol of the work provided by the whole officials’ team to make this session happen and bring a new perspective on society topics that need to be solved to make the European citizens’ situation a bit better. Following this dynamic, it is my greatest pleasure to provide you with that issue. Consider it as a key -one more- to understand all the details of the other committee topics. Use it like a help during GA by keeping it open, and maybe could you use the statistics provided in your attack speeches. Also, we strongly recommend you to have a look at the tips page 11 which will hopefully help you to make your first General Assembly’s experience as good as possible. Your eyes are
still closed, let us help you to open them. By the end of the day, you will have the possibility to unlock a new massive achievement called EYP, and get into a world you maybe still don’t understand fully. The key is in your hand, the opportunity can be taken. Allow me to ask to every single one of you the following question: who’s in the best position to help you open this new symbolic door and unlock Belgrade? In the name of the media team and our fellow officials, let me also provide you with the answer: this person is no one but you, think about it! Wishing you our best wishes for this exciting first General Assembly, Valentin (& Anna, Isidora, Galina, Mina, Dunja, Dominika)
