#ITSABOUTME IDEV INSTRUCTIONS – STAFF MEMBER HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR APPRAISAL

The #itsaboutme process will begin when you receive email notification that your appraisal has been activated. You can then log in to iDev to view and begin. 1st stage – Staff member To begin, hover your mouse over the Performance tab on the top menu. You will see a drop down appear, showing you two options – Latest Appraisal and All Appraisals. Click on Latest Appraisal.

You will then see your appraisal which will look something like below. On the left hand you will see some information about this appraisal including your job role, manager etc. You will also see the different stages of the appraisal. In the middle you will see who needs to complete it and on the right hand side you will see the ‘Start’ button.

If you are unable to click start you may need to select which job assignment will be linked to the appraisal if you have more than one job assignment, or you may need to select your manager if you have more than one manager.

Your appraisal will consist of 2 stages. Stage 1 (Looking back/where are you now) - YOU must complete BEFORE your manager can fill in their part. Your manager will be notified when you have completed your answers so that they can go in and view your answers prior to meeting with you. At the end of your #itsaboutme meeting you will also be required to complete a learning plan but this will be done with your manager. When your appraisal and learning plan have been completed you will then be required to come back and complete the ‘Confirmation’ stage to confirm you are happy with the contents.

Click Start to begin.

Once you are in your appraisal, you will be shown the current stage that you are in at the top of the screen, along with options to ‘save progress’ or ‘complete stage’.

• Then underneath you will see the main content of the appraisal which you can work your way through. Most questions will be fairly selfexplanatory. If you need to save your appraisal and return to it before completing and submitting it, then you can do so at the top of the screen where it says ‘Save Progress’. One you have finished this stage and have clicked ‘Complete’ you will see the following screen – very similar to the first screen except instead of Start, you can now View the stage as you have already completed it.

The stage will remain ‘incomplete’ until your manager has completed the stage.

As part of the #itsaboutme process you will then be asked to input some objectives etc in your learning plan, and rate yourself around the behavioural competencies. To do these your manager will create a learning plan for you at the end of your #itsaboutme.
