Warsaw Pizzeria Earns Prestigious Spot Among Europe's Finest
A Slice Of Goodness
Polly Pizza’s social campaign…
Already established as one of Warsaw’s top Neapolitan pizzerias, Polly Pizza (Puławska 24) have revealed a charitable initiative that has seen them donate 1% of their monthly turnover to environmental and social projects.
So far, donations have been made to the Mysikrólik Foundation, OTOP, Our Earth, WOŚP, Eco4Life and Gaja Club.
Listed for the third consecutive year, a Warsaw pizzeria has been named among the best in Europe as per an annual ranking released by the Italian-based portal w. Ranked 38th, Ciao a Tutti (Al. Niepodległości 217) were praised for their Neapolitan understanding of pizza and the pizzeria concept. “The pizza with four tomatoes and the mushroom and prosciutto are a must-try,” the portal added.
Founded in 2012 by Michał Wesołowski and his future wife to be, Joanna Księżopolska, the couple launched their project just after Wesołowski had graduated. “I was at that age when you just think you have nothing to lose,” he told the press. Since expanding outwards to include two more pizzerias in their little empire (Merliniego 5 and Hubnera 2), Wesołowski revealed that the secret of their success lies in the ingredients. “After all, anyone can make pizza after watching some YouTube tutorials – but to do it well you need to have the right ingredients and always be consistent.”
