Awaken from Winter Bridges on the Willamette River, dried wreaths, and sites along the Columbia River Gorge are the impetus for creation for the featured artists at Valley Art on Main in Forest Grove. Glennda Short Field, Polly Gottesman, Lyn Jacobs and Simran Gleason will offer a varied exploration into art at the gallery in Forest Grove from March 4th through March 30th. Glennda Short Field knows of what she paints when she uses the canvas of the Columbia River Gorge. She calls Corbett home and says that her subjects must “speak to her heart.” After raising four

children, she began painting again on the advice of her daughter. Not only is Glennda an artist, but her professional and personal resume includes pianist, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is a juried member of both the Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Oregon Society of Artists. She also teaches watercolor at Clark Community College in Vancouver, WA.
