Valley Art is dedicated to supporting working artists and encouraging beginning artists. We exhibit exceptional artwork and offer art classes for the entire community at affordable prices. Valley Art board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30p.m. These meetings are open to all who might like to attend.

‘Local Treasures’­–artists, artwork–gather in Valley Art Gallery during November Valley Art members are invited to participate in our annual celebration Friday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m., 2022 Main St., Forest Grove, and receive a 10-percent discount on anything current-paid members purchase that night only. Participating Northwest artists in all media will have new work in our “Local Treasures” show —and members will get first choice. The show will continue through Nov. 17, with special gallery hours—10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m., Sunday. ACRYLIC: Laura Hopper will bring mini-canvases in acrylic and multi-media and new framed watercolors. Cher Odum has new smaller framed pieces of her intriguing characters, new bowls and some small painted stools.

Carolyn Pettitt will bring acrylic paintings on panels. Helvi Smith, Forest Grove, will offer her clever recycled house paint artwork. Be prepared for almost Wine Glasses by Helvi Smith anything from her! Evelyn Fritz paints in acrylic and incorporates collage. ART DOLLS: Lana Gerber, of Salem, makes intriguing art dolls and jewelry. BASKETS: Pat Truax weaves seasonal baskets and snowflake ornaments. Be sure to check out these holiday-worthy items.
