A LETTER FROM EXTEND THE GIFT

Dear VCS Friends,

Thank you for joining Valley Christian Schools for our 9th Annual Quest Ball and Auction. Each year, this event is the cornerstone of Valley Christian Schools’ annual fundraising work and a beloved tradition.

I hope that tonight will be a wonderful time for you to connect more deeply with the mission and vision of Valley Christian Schools and with this community. Whether you are a current family, alumni, friend, or are brand new to VCS, we welcome you and invite you to join us in Quest for ExcellenceTM

Tuition funds mission. Philanthropy fuels vision.

The vision of VCS is “a world where every student pursues their personal Quest for Excellence.” When you give to Valley Christian Schools, you make an incredible impact on students. Every dollar makes a difference, creates truly exceptional programs and experiences, and directly impacts children at VCS and beyond.

As the name suggests, the Quest Ball’s purpose is to fund the programs that make Valley Christian School’s Quest for Excellence a reality. All funds raised tonight will go to the WARRIOR FUND, which provides financial support to our A3 curriculum (Academic Achievement, Artistic Beauty, and Athletic Distinction), faculty and staff support, and tuition assistance.

Your contributions tonight and throughout the year are the backbone of the quality, Christ-centered education that VCS is able to provide to each and every student. It is the type of education that produces Warriors: tomorrow’s leaders, properly equipped to serve God and their families, while positively impacting their communities and the world. Thank you for your support. You truly are making a difference, and your help is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

3

STAND UP FOR VALLEY’S KIDS

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:4).

This is the opportunity to change a student’s life! An essential function of the WARRIOR FUND, and the Quest Ball that supports it, is raising money for tuition assistance, which is vital for over 400 students each year. Without financial assistance, these students could not attend Valley Christian Schools or benefit from its opportunities. Tuition assistance not only ensures socioeconomic diversity in our schools it also changes lives!

Tonight, you will have an opportunity to answer prayers and make it possible for a student to become a Warrior. All funds raised during Stand Up for Valley’s Kids will be earmarked specifically for this program and the students whose lives it will change.

Getting involved is simple. When prompted, you will simply stand up to show your support for our students. It is a visual representation of our commitment to these families and the generosity of our community supporting them. All donations are celebrated, as the power of this event is everyone working together to support our students, not just those who are able to donate at the highest levels. Donations start at $100. When the level reaches your desired contribution amount, you simply sit down, and one of our attendants will record your name and bidder number.

Every gift makes a difference. You can donate the full amount now or pledge an amount and give monthly over the next year. We hope you will consider how you can give the gift of education and the Quest for Excellence to a student. Everyone can make a difference!

Should anyone wish to donate at a level of $30,000 or more, these funds can, at the donor’s option, be used towards the full education costs for one of the students from the local program, Breakthrough Silicon Valley. This local program prepares motivated students with limited educational opportunities for success in rigorous college preparatory high school programs and entry into four-year colleges.

These students will be carefully selected in partnership with Breakthrough Silicon Valley. This is the opportunity to truly change a child’s life and, as a bonus, your own. We recognize that some of our guests may wish to donate in a less public fashion. You can make a donation directly on your phone through the QR Code at anytime without standing. If you have any difficulties with donating through the QR code, a Quest Ball staff member will assist you in obtaining your information at the check out table to help you participate in supporting VCS tuition assistance privately.

Please join us in what has become one of the most special moments of the Quest Ball.
