Financial Assistance Programs
Valley Christian’s financial assistance programs play a vital role in ensuring the economic diversity of our student body by allowing qualified candidates from all economic circumstances to enroll and attend our school. In the 2015-2016 fiscal year, Valley Christian awarded nearly $2,400,000 in financial assistance primarily through our Youth with Promise program, as well as other financial assistance programs. Below is a breakdown of how these funds were dispersed in regard to the portion of tuition awarded and number of students receiving assistance.

Quest
On March 12, 2016, we held our second annual Quest Ball Dinner and Auction, benefiting the students and programs at Valley Christian Schools (VCS) through the WARRIOR FUND.
On the night of the auction, over 400 parents, board members, faculty, and staff gathered at Villa Ragusa in support of VCS. While guests enjoyed the delicious hors d’oeurves and champagne, they used their mobile devices to bid against each other on a collection of incredible silent auction items such as diamond earrings, beautiful artwork, and opportunities for reserved parking and seating for graduations. The crowd participated in a lively game of Heads or Tails, with the chance to win an incredible Tahoe vacation, and then settled down to an elegant dinner. During the live auction, guests vied for coveted items including exclusive golf trips, amazing sports experiences, and even an adorable Labrador retriever puppy! By the end of the night, guests had pledged over $975,000, with $565,300 given directly to our financial assistance fund, Youth with Promise. To kick off the Quest Ball festivities, we invite you to attend our wine tasting event at Joseph George Fine Wines. All wines will be offered at a discount, and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to VCS, helping underwrite our auction’s premium wine bar. This year’s wine tasting will be held at Joseph George Fine Wines on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
