ìAnd there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, ëGlory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward meníî (Luke 2:8-14).

Chloe Cance is a lifelong dancer. She spent 14 years at a local dance studio and double majored in dance and psychology at Santa Clara University (’19). Since graduating, Chloe has taken on multiple roles in the arts, including at Valley Christian Schools (VCS) and as co-director of the Hip Hop program at Lana’s Dance Studio (shoutout to co-director Kara Richey). Chloe loves teaching students of all ages and dance levels and will always be an advocate for the arts!
Tori Evans is one of the most sought-after dancers based in Los Angeles, California. A native of the San Jose area, Tori found her passion for dance at her hometown studio, Lana’s Dance Studio. There she trained for 15 years in tap, jazz and ballet, which helped prepare her to receive a scholarship for the second ranked dance university in the country, the University of Arizona (U of A). While at U of A, Tori participated in one of the top convention company programs, LA Dance Magic, where she was able to train and assist some of the industry’s top choreographers. In only 3 years, Tori graduated with honors from U of A obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts and an economics minor. She immediately went on a world tour for Barbie LIVE!, the Musical, and, upon returning, moved to LA to start her career. Her credits include Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Cardi B, The Weeknd, Gwen Stefani, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Hudson, Pitbull, Tyga, Backstreet Boys, Empire of the Sun, Bad Bunny, J Balvin and more. Tori has worked under famed choreographers such as Mandy Moore, Jamie King, Luther Brown, HiHat, Charm, Frank Gatson, Jeri Slaughter, Jennifer Hamilton, Lindsey and Craig, Zach Woodlee, Bonnie Story, Tricia Miranda, Chase Benz, etc. When Tori isn’t on the road, she’s featured on television shows such as All American - Homecoming, The Masked Singer, Physical, Jimmy Kimmel, The Price is Right!, The Voice!, American Song Contest, and multiple award shows. Tori spends her very limited free time reading, watching anything foodrelated, baking or, recently, decorating her new home with her favorite person, her husband, TJ Shaw.
Adrina Hsieh Adrina is currently in her first year at UC Irvine as a dance major. She graduated from Valley Christian High School as a Conservatory Honors Fellow with an emphasis in dance arts and was a member of the Vivid Dance Team. Adrina was six years old when she fell in love with ballet. During summer breaks, Adrina trained at world-renowned schools: San Francisco Ballet, Alonzo King Line Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Academy, TDA Prep and many more. Adrina started participating in dance competitions when she was ten years old. Traveling through a plethora of states in the U.S., she has won awards at various levels and has been recognized with scholarships. She was a part of San Jose Dance Theatre’s professional ballet company as a junior company member. Adrina is blessed that the Lord has provided her with numerous opportunities.
Angela Li is a VCHS class of 2022 alum currently attending Wellesley College on the East Coast. She is a part of Wellesley Freestyle, the hip hop dance team. Angela has been dancing since she was 9 years old and was a part of VCS’ dance department and Vivid Dance Team. She choreographed Hidden. She hopes her piece can transform the audience to see her vision and the message.

The Shechem Oak Society empowers our community to make an extraordinary impact on future generations. The society comprises all who generously bequeath legacy gifts to Valley Christian Schools.
God assured Abraham of keeping His promise to grant the land to Abraham’s descendants. Shechem holds a significant place in this narrative—it’s where Jacob excavated a well and erected an altar, where Joseph’s family laid his remains to rest, where Joshua delivered his parting words in service to the Lord, and where Jesus revealed Himself as the Messiah to the Samaritan woman at the well (Genesis 12:6, 33:18, Joshua 24:26, John 4:12). Shechem stands as a powerful symbol of God’s faithfulness across generations. We fervently pray that VCS, like Shechem, will serve as a reminder of God’s unwavering faithfulness in Silicon Valley and worldwide.
At a time when many American educational institutions are straying from biblical values, you can ensure that Valley Christian Schools continues its Quest for Excellence™ for future generations.
