Experiments in Comedy & Tragedy - Alice in Wonderland

Adapted by Charlotte Chorpenning

On behalf of the cast and production team, welcome to Wonderland!

We are ecstatic to have you here for our student run production of Alice in Wonderland! An annual production, the Experiments in Comedy and Tragedy series challenges students from Theatre IV Honors, Technical Theatre III Honors, and Theatre III to present a full-length show, complete from show selection to performances.

A darker twist on a childhood classic, this Wonderland contrasts from traditional adaptations; this world is a subversion of reality and a commentary on maturity–taking inspiration from growing up and the fears that consume us as we enter society. This show also presents a creative spin in its technical aspects with an immersive thrust stage and set, bringing Wonderland to you, the audience!

It’s been an absolute pleasure directing this talented cast. Together, we have created this eerie world of intrigue and fascination. All the work and preparation has created a piece that we hope you will enjoy–and that will also dare you to ask yourself, what is real in Wonderland to you?
