The goal of art camp is to inspire young creatives to take risks and work through mistakes to discover wonderful artistic experiences! Note: Campers should wear clothes that can get dirty with art materials. They can bring a snack to eat during our break time.

The Kick-Start Band Camp offers students the opportunity for rising 4th and 5th graders to play a band instrument including the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, drums, and more. The camp will mix in beginners along with students who already have more experience with some fun activities added in. All are welcome, instruments are available to borrow, and a short concert will occur on the final day of camp at 11:30AM.

Entering Grades 6-8

This camp is an opportunity for students to start their journey learning a band instrument and also for students who have experience and want to improve their skills on traditional band instruments including the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, drums, and more. All experience levels are welcome from beginner to advanced JH aged students. Our goal is to make music and have fun with friends. All are welcome, instruments are available to borrow, and a short concert will occur on the final day of camp at 11:30am.

Sponsored and facilitated by the members of Valley Christian’s Vivid Dance Team, Vivid 2 introduces young dancers to the fast-paced exciting world of competition dance teams! Dancers will learn cutting-edge dance routines, develop team spirit, and have an awesome time, all while improving their skill and dance technique! Dance Camp culminates with a dynamic performance that highlights the combination and technique learned over the two weeks. If you have questions, contact Colette Evans at cevans@vcs.net Note: The fee includes a dance team shirt, daily nutritious snacks, and performance expenses. Students will need to provide their own jazz shoes. Fees will go directly to support Vivid Valley Christian’s award-winning competitive dance team. Performance is on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 6:00pm in the High School Theatre.

Learn the skills that made our Performance Indoor Ensemble award winning. Rising 6-9 grade students will have one week to perform their own mini show by putting band (brass and woodwinds) and color guard (flags and dance) together. You do not need any experience to participate with the color guard, but you will need band experience to play with the band. Come learn how our award-winning ensemble puts together a performance full of music and spectacle! Note: For our future attendees, wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes. Snacks will be provided, but you will need to pack your own lunch. Performance is on the final day (July 29th) at 3:00pm.

Strings Camp is offered for violin, viola, cello, and double bass students. All levels are accepted and students may register for both sessions. Campers will receive musical instruction, learn music theory, experience music technology, and gain leadership skills. Snacks will be provided, and please bring your own lunch. The concert will be performed on Thursday, July 28, at 3:00pm for Session One and on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 3:00pm for Session Two.

We are thrilled to bring summer performance back to the Valley Christian Theatre stage for 2022 with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA! Every student is guaranteed a role on stage; however, specific parts will be cast based on mandatory auditions during the first week of camp. Specific information will be sent home to enrolled families separately. If your student is interested in TECHNICAL THEATRE instead of performance, please contact us. We may have a place for that too! No camp on June 20, July 1, or July 4. Performances July 7-9, 2022. Contact Ms. Cathy McFall with questions: cmcfall@vcs.net. Additional costume fee: May be incurred, not to exceed $60 per student.
