MIGUEL MIRELES I had never been to any key club events nor meetings during the school year, because I didn't know much of Key Club. My friend invited me "Foam Glow 5k," and at first I thought of community service to be boring and long, so I wasn't very convinced. My friend then told me more about what service meant to Key Club, and I thought I would try it out. So in the day of the event I didn't know what to do. We then got stationed. I was stationed at the "Foam Cannon." The purpose of the foam cannons were to "blast" foam at the runners passing by. At first, I was just standing there waiting for the runners to come, then Chris told me to turn the cannons on because they were on their way, and I got excited! People from all ages and sizes were running. They were all happy, and laughing! I really enjoyed this service event with Key Club. I would love to do more community service!

JOSE LOYA There is something about service and being around remarkable people that creates absolute magic. It's a kind of magic that is fueled through empathy, compassion, and drive to help others. On June 6, 2015, Valley Key Club volunteered at the Foam Glow run, which was an amazing event that was not only a great success, but brought many people together to enjoy a great night This event was definitely one of my personal favorites from the two years I have been in Key Club. In the beginning, I was working in the back of the registration booth, and I passed the different needed t-shirt sizes to the people who were checking people in. Other volunteers during this time were helping by stacking water bottles for the runners. Afterwards, we were all assigned to different foam cannon stations to work at. Our job was to turn on the cannon when the race was getting started, and to turn it off when all the racers had gone through. Also, we cheered on the racers as they passed through, and made sure nobody played with, ruined, or destroyed the cannons or the generators. My favorite part of the night was seeing all of the racers pass through the station. This event brought such a positive energy, and had such a great outcome. The runners and the

MAY DIVISION DEIDRA DILWORTH This DCM left an imprinting vision in my head. It was very uplifting, as we were able to see member Miguel appointed to the Division Leadership Team. We were able to enjoy ice breakers, get updated on the D28S clubs status, and bond as a division. Many new things were implemented at this DCM and I am excited as an oďŹƒcer to serve the club that I serve with more knowledge. This DCM was stellar and we were treated by Coronado with nachos. Overall, This was a very successful and helpful event.

MIGUEL ORDANEZ The May DCM was held at Coronado High School and was an amazing experience. Here, we were informed of the several dierent events that each club was a part of in the past month and what we can expect from them in the future. Key Clubs also shared their experience with fundraising for MNT and how they informed their members of this deadly disease. With the information from the individual clubs, we also discovered the future leaders of the Division Leadership Team! It was very warming to see eager Key Club members ready to serve and make D28S have a successful key club year. In all, the May DCM held at Coronado High School was an experience that showed how bright the future of Division 28 South is going to be! It was reassuring to know that these clubs are staying productive and are raising awareness to eliminate MNT around the world. Thank you to Coronado Key Club for holding a fantastic DCM!

VALLEY FAMILY VICTORIA PATTERSON On May 24th, Valley Key Club organized Valley Family Night for all of Valley High School students, teachers, and guests to attend at Adventure Dome at Circus Circus. Since it was a Key Club organized event, I was not expecting a lot of non-members to attend, but what was really beautiful was seeing a lot of people outside of Key Cub attend. This bonded not just Key Club, but our school more as a family, and it also gave the students and teachers at our school more insight on Key Club and what we do. So many people really enjoyed this social, and it was great seeing so many positive reactions from so many people. As for me, I got to hang out with a few of my friends in Key Club who brought their friends who are not in Key Club, and it was great getting to know new people. The most scariest part was definitely riding Sand Pirate's and the Ferris Wheel due to my extreme fear of heights. The most memorable moment was when one of my friend's kept swearing up and down that he was a "hooper" but then spent most of his money on the basketball carnival game and still didn't even make one shot. It was hilarious! All in all, it was an extraordinary event that brought us all together as an Ohana!

Valley Key Clubbers have a great time at Valley Family Night.

NIGHT LUKAS MOORE I thought that the circus circus family night was a good experience, I had a great time and have to say it was well worth what I spent. It felt great as a member to know that I could support the club that I serve and still have an enjoyable experience with my older brothers and friends as well. I had fun playing laser tag with my comrades, riding several rollercoasters, and playing mini games. We also had a private room with free drinks and free drinks are always a plus, so we were able to hydrate our selves constantly throughout the event. I really love the family aspect, and I am glad that I decided to attend this event with my family and friends. It was a good time to bond with fellow key clubbers and a great time to bond with the rest of the school. The Adventure Dome is usually a fun place, but I feel satisfied because I was able to attend at a discounted price, and I knew that I was able to donated to the club that I serve. Overall, it was a good experience and I wouldn't mind doing it again in a future event.

KYLE CATARATA Miles 4 Medicine 5k The Miles 4 Medicine was an exciting event for a good cause! My first shift was to arrange scrubs (clothing) in order to easily hand it out to the participants. I then arranged gifts for the runners at specific tables. After that, I cheered on the runners. They were so energetic when they ran! They definitely were having a great time! After the race was over, I started disassembling booths, chairs, and tables, and helped transport them to a local point where other people will come by to pick them up. Overall, the event was spectacular. The whole event was not just a typical 5K service event; it served more than that. The event was held for an amazing cause and I am exciting to volunteer at this event again when the time comes!Â
