Board Members and LTG Andriyah Anouvongs overlook the meeting agenda

Valley Key Clubs Administrative Board for the 2014-2015 term.

Valley Key Club June Board Meeting “The June Board Conference at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Town Square was great for the Valley Key Club Administration! Board members were able to plan out new ideas for the club, get service events ready, and begin to plan and put together summer fundraisers for the club. This board conference also great, because we were visited by our own Division 28 South Panda Lieutenant Governor, Andriyah Anouvongs!

At the meeting, LTG Andryiah gave us tips and pointers on upcoming ideas for RTC, and also helped us get in the sense of service for summer. The board learned a lot, and also had fun having an after conference photo shoot! Overall, the meeting went great, and we loved having our LTG there to help us guide our club to success! Written By : Karl Catarata, VKC President

VKC President Karl Catarata

Hey there Valley Key Clubbers! I hope you’re enjoying your summer of 2014! In this past month, Valley Key Club was able to accomplish many things and begin new plans to help our club in the upcoming administrative year. At the beginning of the month, we started off having our awesome Las Vegas Rescue Mission, which the Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas helped us volunteer for. Next up, we had our awesome July Monthly Board Conference, where members and the administration were able to plan out the end of our summer, and upcoming events in the school year! Need more community service hours? No worries! Events aren’t that far away. Be sure to check up on our official calendar: tinyurl.com/ valleykeyclub-calendar for upcoming community service events, and leadership opportunities for you this summer! Events such as DCM’s, Kiwanis meetings, committee potlucks, and big community service projects are at your fingertips! So what are you waiting for? Sign up, and let’s get down to serving our homes, schools, and communities!

Las Vegas Rescue Mission The Las Vegas Rescue Mission helps thousands of homeless residents of Las Vegas everyday, free of charge. Of course this wouldn’t be possible without the help of the amazing volunteers! Our Key Club members took time out of their day to serve their community and serve food to those in need. They did tons of hard work and went home knowing that they had helped someone who otherwise would have gone hungry that day. It’s truly amazing what our Key Club members can do when they work together! Written by : Serena Salgado. VKC Director of Committees

A Note From the Director Hello Vikings! As you may have noticed by now, I am not Alissa! She is out of the country at the moment, so I’ll be filling in for her this month. First of all, thank you for reading! As always,

none of the amazing events featured in this newsletter could have been done without you! Reading your articles and viewing your photo submissions was honestly a pleasure, and I’m excited to see the things you achieve in the up and coming term! Keep sending in those articles and visuals, so we can CELEBRATE all the accomplishments you make together! In service and in caring, Serena Salgado
