Jacqueline vargas I feel that this event is very interesting, you get to see different people dressed up, and it’s a really fun and different experience. Most importantly you get to learn different perspectives and learn about how people like and choose to express themselves. Overall, I was really excited about this event, because on top of the service, I was able to meet one of my favorite actors. Being next to him in his presence was very fun and different. I can’t wait to serve at this event next year.

Victoria Patterson Valley Key Club volunteered a Three Square Food Bank which has become a welcoming and reoccurring volunteer spot for the club. We were very excited and honored to be able to participate again at such a wonderful event. Our first task was to take inventory of two hundred oranges and two hundred apples and pack them, which was then shipped o to our school, Valley High School. Then for the rest of the time we packed over nine hundred bags that each contained two apples and three oranges. My favorite part of the event was being able to help provide food for people around the community, and working with my fellow volunteers. It was a really fun time being able to work with my friends and make a dierence in other people's lives. This event is one that I will not soon forget, because it has taught me so many things about volunteer work and how being selfless can have such a huge benefit on the lives of others.

Kyle Catarata Hello, the service event was amazing. This is “Spread the Word Nevada”. I find it absolutely amazing. We cleaned books for two hours and I would really love to come back to this event because it shows how cleaning books can save education. It’s been a hectic day, as the end of our shirt nears. I would love to do something like this again in the future. Have a Golden Day!

Victoria Patterson Valley Key Club volunteered at First Friday to help the nonprofit organization Best Buddies with their tent that they had there. Best Buddies main goal is to create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They pair their volunteers with a buddy with a disability to allow them to not only become a mentor to them, but a friend that will always be there. We immediately got to work by organizing the tables at the tent, by putting down the table cloths and sorting through the t-shirt sizes and putting them in order on one of the tables. After this, some of us were given signs to walk around the area with, to tell the guests and the various artists about Best Buddies and to stop at the tent for more information.I learned so much about leadership, selflessness, and drive, and how all of these things can come t together to create more goodness and positivity in this world.

JULY DIVISON becky Lang The joint July DCM at Sunset Park was a lot of fun and I’m glad I was able to attend! We started with an icebreaker where we were able to learn more about fellow Key Clubbers of Division 28 South, 28 North, and 28 West. After it was done, we listened to Presidents’ Reports from all the divisions. It’s great to hear about the service being performed all over Las Vegas! Then we received updates and information from all three LTG’s regarding future events in Key Club and met the Service Projects Chair, Andriyah Anouvongs, and the District Tech Editor, Tatiana Lim.

Concluding the meeting, we had recognition, and Valley got Club of the Month for July! We will have Phil the panda for a month, and pass it on to the next club. Clubs that brought water balloons to the DCM were also entered into a rae; SECTA won and was given a cute little panda. Then the water balloon fight began. It was a perfect way to cool o and have fun! And of course, not wanting to leave any trash, we picked up the balloon pieces afterward. The DCM was a great part of the summer, and it was fantastic to be able to meet members from all over Las Vegas.
